Cheap but they can screw up big time. Review on Bangalore Baptist Hospital - Hebbal - Bangalore

I know this hospital since my birth. Stayed in the hospital vicinity since long time. Good thing is its a Christian missionary hospital, which means its cheap. General doctor consultation starts at 30 Rs and specialist on general work hours cost 100 Rs. Doctors are experienced and patient.

Rooms are available in different price range based on your luxury requirement. But you general wards are just like as in government hospitals, meaning you will have to take at least a semi special ward to ahve some peace of mind.

Now bad things - firstly I hate the security system there. They act as if they are guarding a high security prison. Security personnel are rude and misbehave and have no consideration for patients. Then coming to reports and tests, baptist hospital staff can screw it up big time.

For example I am a male and their records show it as Female! And I am visiting this hospital for ages. Still they don't bother correcting that mistake.

Then they are notorious are changing test reports, may be they are just ignorant or irresponsible. Once they gave some one elses' reports instead of my sis! We realized after seeing blood groups not matching. Another time when my sister delivered a baby, they gave a wrong medicine (they gave a loose motion syrup instead of something else) and worst, they increased dose of glucose to my sis and forgot to reduce it on time, my sis went all cold and luckily my aunt saw something amiss and got the staff to act. These are few big time blunders they can do.

Well, I wont recommend this hospital until you cant afford any other hospital. For me self respect matters the most and I don't like arguing and fighting with security people just to gain entrance to see the patient.
