Balika vadhu comes with a tag line of kachchi umar ke pakke rishte. The drama really gained the hearts of all the viewers all over India. The story of the serial takes place in a a small village where people are still in belief of child marriage. The story starts with a little girl named Anandi who is so cute and director narrated and showed her character in this serial so beautifully. Anandi's character was played by Avika who is presently a film star in tollywood. Due to their beliefs in Hindu system the parents of Anandi made her to stop studying and started searching for bridegroom.
At the minor age Anandi got married to a minor boy whose name is jagadeesh. The story starts from there. After marriage, Anandi suffers a lot to adjust in that family environment. When both Anandi and jagadeesh reaches to their teenage, jagadeesh goes to city to continue his studies, where Anandi still remains in that village. Twist in the plot starts from there. Jagadeesh finds another girl in that city where he studies who is well educated. He falls in love with her and even gets married to her. He starts his new married life in city without telling to his / her parents and continues his studies. There in village Anandi stills waits for jagadeesh's arrival. In mean while jagadeesh gives mere hints to Anandi on phone about his new life partner. One fine day he tells everything about his married life in the city and asks her to lead her own life by leaving him. Finally he takes divorce from Anandi. Jagadeesh's family left him in the city and takes care of Anandi who is still struggling to face the truth. They made her to complete studies. She starts social activities in her own village. She tries to bring out women and educate them. She started a school for children. By seeing these social activities people in village decided to elect her as sarpanch to their village. After a long time, jagadeesh's family decides to make Anandi remarry. After a long time, there comes collector of that village Shiva, who looks so fierce. Jagadeesh family makes Anandi to marry him after lots and lots of obstacles. After marriage Anandi asks him to give her some time to get into her relationship with Shiva. As days were going on, Anandi and Shiva falls deeply in love with each other, and in no time she gets pregnant with twins. In some plot that describes on terriosts attack, Shiva dies in protecting the country. They show him as martyr. After his death Anandi give birth to two beautiful twins. One girl named Nandini and one boy named Shivam. She leads her life by looking after them and still tries to continue her social activities. During her social activities, Anandi looses her daughter while trying to help another girl from getting married in her minor age. Nandini was taken away by a man called Akiraj Singh who is a well established person in his own village. He makes a child marriage to his son and Nandini. Anandi searches for Nandini day and night, but she fails to get her. She goes back to jagadeesh house again after death of Shiva. She starts educating girls in her own established school. The whole serial was based on how women struggles and faces all the obstacles in her life and stands up for every thing that may be good or bad. Every women gets inspired by some of the scenes based on education and child marriage. Director narrated the serial in a very sensitive manner. Each character has its own importance. Anandi's character is very inspiring in this story. Finally I want to conclude that Balika vadhu is one of the best TV series which made lots of fans and viewers all over India.
