Teh way they portray anandi's maturity has its flaws. true in many hindu households, girls/women are alienated from the kitchen and pooja, during periods,
here too being an orthodox household, Maasaa demands that anandi be alone, but the way anandi and jagiya behave is most surprising- that this is teh first time they see a woman being alone.
aren't ther other women in the household- wont they also be alone during this time, as per Masaa's rules?
the director/script writer has overlooked this- further Maasaa says again and again,
in dino mein, akele rehne ka?
what does this mean? that not only during the 1st time, but during each period, they need to be alone- wont the others be alone? for anandi and jagiya to act so surprised?
and hope this sytem really goes outdated- making the girls feel like untouchables during this time- I know it is practiced in many hindu households even today.
hope people who preach all this feel this is but a natural biological phenomenon in women.
