A rare classic movie by Bollywood. Review on Bajirao Mastani

I'm writing this review on one a new Bollywood film Bajirao Mastani. It is an Indian epic historical romance film directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali. The film stars Ranveer Singh as Bajirao I and Deepika Padukone as Mastani, with Priyanka Chopra playing as Kashibai. Bajirao Mastani was released on 18 December 2015 in India along with Sharukh's Dilwale.

I generally don't watch bollywood movies as they don't have a new and original concept. Most of them are copied or on based of the same repeated boring love story. But this is different of all, after a long time Bollywood have produced a quality movie. The movie is based and a true love story of a young maratha peshwa Bajirao and Mastani. Bajirao is a hindu maratha bhramin and Mastani follow islam. When asked for help from rajputs Bajirao went there to help them and fell in love with the most beautiful Mastani. The movie revolves around few characters like Bajirao, Mastani, Kashi and the Maratha kingdom.

Bajirao was a intellect warrior and peshwa. He has his own clever tactics for war. With effect of this he came to conquer major part of India. He wants to conquer the complete india and want to raise his flag in Delhi. Mastani was the second wife of Bajirao and was not accepted by his Brahmin family. I will not ruin your interest by narrating the complete story. The basic idea of the movie revolves on undivided love and how power perishes in front of love. Love have no cast creed and culture. Bajirao led to a huge empire but lost in front of his own family. It shows your true power is your family.

Apart from this very interesting epic love story the movie have got a lot different from other Bollywood movies. The camera work, locations are great. Ranveer Singh have a done a superb job as Bajirao. The fell completely into the character. Though Deepika Padukone as Mastani did a great job but I would like to see Priyanka Chopra playing as Mastani. The movie have got lot of interesting dialogues which you will keep repeating once you watch the movie. Overall all the casts have done a fantastic job to reap a beautiful jem like this.

I have watched this movie 7 times, 3 times on big screen and 4 times on my ipad. I will suggest you all the watch this movie as it is worth spending three hours. From my end 5 star to film Bajirao Mastani.
