Hello to all the respected users of mouthshut.com

I bought this bike on 15th June 2009 from M/s Automotive BAJAJ, Ranchi for Rs.50112/- on road.Since Day 1, The bike has always given mileage greater than 65kmpl and the maximum recorded till date is 82kmpl. After 25000kms on this bike, here's my take on this machine.

1.Looks-In this area, the bike sports a complete LOVE me or HATE me attitude. The unconventional front with a refreshing rear design may please some while offending others.I belong more to the former category. While I love the indicators and rear lights of the bike, the front lamps doesn't appeal to my taste. The bike is nothing extraordinary like the stunner or the xcd 125, but gels nicely with the environment and is at best, a SAFE design.

2.Engine Performance-

a-Mileage-The bike has always returned excellent fuel economy without any deviation.Average-65-70kmpl

b.Power-The bike has adequate power for city, but you will feel a bit underpowered out on the highways.

c.Gearshift-Average quality shifts.

d.Maintenance & reliability-The bike is low on maintenance.Except pertol, engine oil[every 1500 kms-castrol power1], brake pads[once] and chain sprocket[once], I havent spent a rupee on this machine.

3.Ride & Handling-

a.Ride-In order to make it a neutral handler, BAJAJ has tuned the suspension a bit on the firmer side. While the ride is bumpy when singly occupied, it gets better with a pillion on.The average seats dont help much either.

b.Handling-The bike is overall a fairly taut handler, only let down by crappy stock tyres.I have changed to MRF Zapper, and that has had a positive impact on its handling abilities.

4.Comfort-The bike is comfortable within city confines. However it is not recommended for very long rides and trips.

Hope you find this review helpful.

Have a nice day
