I was full of surprises when I went to collect my bajaj xcd 125 from Sai Service in Andheri, Mumbai. For starters all politeness and suave behavior vanishes after the cash is deposited.Although accessories and helmets were promised free, It was all billed and accounted for in the bill.
The bike is alright for city use, to visit the neighborhood grocer or barber shop. A noisy engine and sluggish clutch and very unreliable set of brakes in rainy or wet conditions was observed. Although I drive mostly on highways the average is never above 50 Kms per Ltr.With a pillion rider the bike can be an embarrassment.Head lamps are nothing great to write home about.Handle locks are good as it locks with handle turned in both directions.Rear view mirrors are meant for pygmies as in most Indian Bikes.Had to replace them.
The first free service at the authorized center at Kurla charged 250 bucks for a liter of engine oil and 12 bucks for grease. It would make sense to carry your own oil during so called free service.
