I, Divyanshu who is a computer engineer. I usually roam outside city or sit in front of the Laptop. I have just have ran it 1200 km and my conclusion is a detailed one. Basically I am posting this review for others who wish to buy a new Bike and are in confusion. I was also in the same shoes. This is my review for the XCD 125 DTS-SI.

GOODS:  Looks, Digital Display, Light weight, Silent Engine.

BAD (not worse): Digital fuel meter, Light weight, Braking.

LOOKS:- The most known factor, Looks it is the best one but depends on taste. But it is foolish to go at that as it is least concern driver did not get to see it.

Digital Display:- looks cool than the traditional analog meter. The odometer is perfect for this combination. But the fuel indicator is faulty. It gives you approximate reading. The panel is small but sharp.

Light weight & Small tyres:- this is a less discussed topic but most important because it is related to the riding pleasure. It depends what you are riding i.e. if you earlier ride scooty, Bajaj chetak, 100cc bikes, this is the Pulsar 150 for you. But 150cc guys won’t like this stuff except for fuel efficiency. Light weight gives it more driving force basically it is lightest engine in market but it make it sore hearted with PILLON. Basically I consider it to be considered as PULSAR 150 when driving alone. Small tyres are good in traffic conditions and boost efficiency. But wider tyres give you better grip while driving. They don’t skid in mud and less in rainy conditions. You must take into account if you take sharp turns like I do.

Silent Engine:- This feature let you be a patron of this bike. I used to consider CBZ Xtreme to be most silent in all but it is not beaten by Pulsar but it sounded like a barking dog in front of this bike. The DTS-Si is not a revolutionary change. Basically it is there to take the advantage of non-pillion condition what they called LIGHT WEIGHT. This is hurting the 109kmpl sentiments of people. Secret is out: Bajaj tested it on treadmill so for 109 do make it run it on treadmill and please run with it in the juxtaposed tread.

Riding Position:- The best option and value for money is this feature. You are straight and comfortable.

Glove box:- Good feature but not any credits for this feature.

Braking:- I don’t give any credit to this bike for this feature. It showed lagging side. Don’t recommend you if you drive fast with aggression in traffic.

Disc Brakes:- This bike don’t have any but I must tell an important thing that disc brakes causes friction in front tyre and you already know that bikes are single wheel driven so it decreases the MILEGE. With disc brakes removed my friend got 64kmpl in pulsar 150. So it is a good move not to have that. Sincere condolence who think a must in it.

LED Backlights:- They are effective and sharp during day-time but pretty smaller for Night.

Electric-Start:- I salute this feature and is a worthwhile at a price tag of 41000 (it includes taxes and bajaj only gets around 35000).

DC Electrical:- Bajaj has broken the conventional methods of using AC dynamo techniques. This bike has DC power so no regular bulb fuses and even regular brightness at low RPM. NO fluctuations at all. But do not make changes in fitting as it can easily get short circuited. I got to know when I wanted Buzzers for the indicators. They don’t have buzzers in indicators. Also it is risk of short-circuit increases in rain.

Folding Number Plate:- Adds good to the front shockers. No other good advantage.

The most important feature every one wanted to know is the milege; yah it’s coming ahead.

Fuel Efficiency:- I got 62 kmpl in my first 300 km run. Now I am getting a 67kmpl after 1st service at 1200 kms. I regard it to be a very good sign as it will yield 70+ after 2nd service. I wanted to change the name to “ROAD STRIDER”. This bike is not at all a highway CRUISER.

Shockers are very good.

Cockpit is nice and lucrative during day and night both.

Thanks to the Alloy wheels with All-black theme; I own a black-pearl.

Cautions:-

If the Driver + Pillion is greater than 125 kg there is definitely a difference in running.

There too exists the problem in Gearbox.

If this review is satisfying please rate it to help finding their Juggernaut.

I thanks to Nagesh Durbhatkar who prompted me to write this review.

Indeed need your recommendations... Thanks

Divyanshu
