: Hi, This is my updated review (c 1st at bottom),

NOW it's 3 months since purchasing this gr8 bike, now Completed my 2nd servicing with almost 3000 kms of running. I'ld like to share my WIND experience so far. Well, as I mentioned this bike is superb, the bikes stability, braking is gr8 absolutely sharp. I ride this bike almost in all situations/places around Pune, in city hectic traffic, ghat area, pune-mumbai highway & very very rough road in hill parts of Mulshi villages for day long rides.

And whatever I exp. were discussed with supervisor of Sai Service station (S.B.Road). (Well, the Bajaj mechanics r co-operative but I/c. ???, I'ld not get the parking headlight & battery cover's rubber due to non availability, Bajaj must act fast on availability of Spare parts atleast at dealer level OR the dealers r not willing to change it in free servicing DOn't Know, Still it's only 3 months after the new bike launch, so I hope to get in near future quickly).

In all area the bike cruizes like wind (actually I'm not getting word to write it's performance, Pl. understand) Only in hilly parts (add very very rough roads) the pillion rider is little uncomfortable (I've not driven any other bike on that particular road so can't compare the comfort level, I'm surprised to c the bike came out without any puncture for continuous 35 kms of very raw road (road development)) . But, I think the standard fitting of rear shocks are best among all bikes on tar road. Whenever u shift to 4/5 gear it's amazing exp. (ofcourse this is my exp.)

The bike is gr8, as simply Performance its the best, calm nice firing engine, the pickup has increased enormously, Now the bike zooms & the speed needle stays at 60 in pretty pretty quick time. It has started delivering smoothly it power of 125cc+10.8 bhp( c some other reviews where tech.spec.is given, it's true).

But I agree that prior this 2nd service there was knocking prob. particularlly for 4th, 5th gear and picking from 20 km speed, But this is more or less can be observed in all catagory bikes, it requires proper gear management while driving. But, I'm also glad to say that after discuss on this problem & the 2nd service, the prob. is cleared now I can drive this bike (rather can pickup) from 4th, 5th gear & from the speed of 20 kms without knocking.

Well, now I got exactly 58kmpl @4000 rpm/ 45kmphr. It goes down to 55 kmpl when I drive it at an average speed of 55 kmphr (50-60 kmphr) It's fine again considering power & the at the speed u drive (remember claimed 80 kmpl is at 40 kmpl). The stability, manovering is gr8, Disc brakes & rear brakes are very sharp also anti skid, combine with Zapper types are excellent. The universal gear pattern 1 + 4 = 5 is comfortable & very smooth (I recently again test ride my friend's very new victor, bought in Diwali, the gear shifting was very hard & after driving WIND I found Victor a very light wt. & very short bike, Also after driving on WIND stability, driving victor, splendour I loose confidence, such a gr8 stable is WIND biking) well, the pickup was OK with victor 8.5 bhp but no comparison with WIND's 10.8bhp.

Still as all bike needs constant improvement + changes (as pulsar -> pulsar DTSI (!!!) , passion -> passion+ (+ ?) , Victor -> victor GL (21 new features?) ) WIND must come with pulsar DTSI's headlamp & meter gadgets. some small but very useful features like Side stand alarm, Swing arm, more designed complete(like on pulsar) heat shield with KAWASAKI itching (though current rectangular also gr8) Ofcourse with no Price hike, this bike will definitely take market with storm within next few months.

Total 3 visits to Dealer (2 for servicing & 1 for not available small spare part)

The project of R&D of WIND from KB was codenamed as ''Project 612'', specifically designed & developed for export market, India is now KAWASAKI's global hub for manufacturing & exporting, K & B has joint marketing strategy for WIND.

Engine No Prob. Fuel effi. No Prob. Any other in Bike? No Prob.

Rest is F.I.N.E.

So far So Good,

Will be back,

BFN. Thanx,

Happy Wind Biking.

Hi,

This one is my 1st review, What can I say 'ut Wind 125, it's a wind blowing experience, What a bike the KB stable has come up with. It's truly world class bike in it's catagory. It stands at the top with a perfect blend of power & performance.

I think now that my patience (I waited for nearly 1 month for it's launch after I learnt by net news 'ut KB's World Bike, I closely followed nearly all news) was worth and the final decision was right. After so much confusion to choose from so many bikes in the market finally I got the right one. I bought the Bajaj WIND 125 Disc brake. on 1 Aug., after taking all bikes test rides (atleast 2/3 times each) before purchasing this. Finally, I preferred this over pulsar150. Surely, the bikes greatest feature is it's stability, control & manoeuvering makes Pune's hectic city traffic more easy. On highway it's only superb, Wind. I clocked it's speed at 100kmph on Pune-Mumbai highway (could have stretch it to the limit), supports KB's claim of top speed of 105. It's stability even at this high speed was amazing. Indeed, the 5-speed gears changes the road appearance at every shift. The MRF Zapper tyres 2.75x18 and 3.00x18 PR are doing worderful job that my bike has not skidded an inch on dry as well as wet road conditions in my ~1300 kms (total) running (U can drive without fear even at 50+ speed & manoeuver on wet road.). Second, is the disk brakes, the best provided sharp & spot on braking (this has changed my driving style as I started driving fast & the bad habit of late braking & cuts has increased). Third, Not to mention it's POWER, sure enough, the spec. speaks all, 125cc, 10.8bhp, 5-speed, digital ignition. The pickup ensure that u are always ahead of those splendours, passions, victors. The speed pointers zooms to 60 in no time, Only u can experience in 150+cc bikes. Fourth, the economy, everyone's favorite, I preferred this bike over pulsar150 'cos of this gr8 factor. KB has claimed it 80kmpl. First it gave me exactly 56kmpl, but now after the first service it is regularly giving me ~60 kmpl in Pune City area which is gr8 looking at the power chosen. Also, I heard that it goes on after each service. If that is so (& also as per assurance by service mechanic) it will go upto 65kmpl which will be amazing. Fifth the comfort, absolute pleasure to ride, even my splendour friends agreed on this, even myself 6'1'' ht. person have no signs of stiffness, but its slight for the pillion after a day long ride. But, still the comfort level is of high standard. Other things i.e Optoprism headlight, The sparkling side indicators, Tail lamp are very very powerful offering the best security in dark ride. It seems that KB has offered the best in this bike (not to speak now-a day in all KB executive bikes caliber115 & pulsars) speedometer, tripmeter, nicely placed white . The 13 lit. petrol tank with 2 lit.reserve is enough for 720+ ride.

One gets everything looking for, a very nice big bike look, built, calm & nice sounding engine, smooth gear transmission, more power than ordinary bikes, control & the gr8 economy & comfort.

Only thing the back view mirrors should be rectangular with rounded corners (like fitted on Caliber115) as it's triangular end reduces the back view area & needs frequent adjustments.

It's all in 48,637/- Disc brk at pune O.T.R.

So far So Good, No problem till now,

Will be back, BFN.

Thanx, Happy Wind Biking.
