Bajaj RE60 was the first ever four-wheeler engineered by Indian company Bajaj Auto and was first unveiled on January 3, 2012 at 2012 Auto Expo, New Delhi. It is a small, cheap and four passenger quadricycle which has a rear-engine and is primarily aimed for Indian market to replace the auto rickshaws/3-wheelers.

It will be made in Aurangabad's 3-wheeler plant of Bajaj and will be a subtle replacement for the three-wheelers used in India while maintaining an adequate amount of safety and decreasing pollution problems. It will be available in 1+3 and 2+2 seating options. Bajaj RE60 gives a unique look with its body colored bumpers, skinny and stylish wheels, short wheelbase, fabric covered front windows, rear plastic hatch door, front and rear headlights and Bajaj logo which gives it a refreshing look. The interior also looks fresh with quality material, adjustable seats, flat rear bench, central speedometer cluster, shifter mounted on dashboard and front and rear seat belts.

It gives a lot of storage space of 44 litres and its under-seat storage capacity is 95 litres. Bajaj RE60 will also be available in CNG. Bajaj RE60 has a powerful water-cooled 200cc four-valve single cylinder DTSi petrol engine which can produce a maximum power of 20 bhp and has a mileage of 35 kmpl on the highways and 24 kmpl in the cities with a top speed of 70 kmph. The engine is mated with a four speed manual transmission.

Bajaj RE60 will focus on environmental problems regarding pollution and that's why it has small CO2 emissions of 60g/km. This hatchback weighs around 400kgs and has a length of 2752mm, width of 1312mm and a height of 1650mm as its dimension. It has disk brakes at front and drum brakes at rear. It has a turning circle radius of 3.5m for easy cruising in crowded Indian cities. Its base variant is to be priced around 1.25 lakhs while the top variant will be close to 1.70 lakhs.

Overall, this quadricycle is a good combination of performance, power, space, uniqueness and safety and all this will be available at an economical price.
