This is my 5 th bike. The all new red bajaj pulsar 150. I did not go for dtsi because at that time the round headlight was not available and I really did not like the new headlight. So I went for the 150.

I have riden the hero honda, the suzuki, the caliber and the yamaha. I should say one thing if average is not the matter and one wants power the yamaha is the best. In the four stroke category the pulsar is the best.

I purchased it on dec 17,2003. Till now I have riden it for 5000kms including a trip to dehradun from raipur and back.

The performance of the bike is superb on the highways. The 150cc engine with 12 horses and the cv carburattor make this powerplant an ideal bike for long distance riding. It took me 5 days to travel a distance of 1850 kms from raipur to dehradun. I rode solo with a ruck sack. The bike returned an average of 45 kmpl on the entire journey. I must admit I was getting tired but the pulsar was saying go on. It was really a contest between the man and machine. The bike cruises at 100kmph without much effort. And ride it continously at that speed for any long there are no signs of power loss. Thanks to cg 04 cd 7965.

The only segment which hurts a bit is the front disk brake which produces some squeeking sound when it gets damm hot. Needs some rest to cool down. The tyres are also not matching. I have changed the rear tyre with that of the cbz to get better hold of the road.

The rear mudguard also disppoints to some extent. Bajaj should use the mudguard of the caliber or design some new for this really masculine machine.

The headlight also need some brightness. Use of a halogen bulb makes a lot of difference.

Its for sure buy a pulsar and you are having a winner in your hand.

So go ahead and rule the road and remember ride safely its a powerful machine. And thanks to bajaj auto for giving us such a wonderful bike at the right cost.
