If you are looking for new bike do a lot of research,

Rank your need of bike on following parameters:-

1) Economy

2) Power

3) Looks

4) Serviceability

5) Riding Comfort

6) And last but not least price

It would serve better if I compare pulsar /dtsi with other bikes like unicorn, fiero and cbz

OK

1) Economy

Pulsar Dtsi has twin spark plugs hence the is better burning of fuel and better acceleration therefore if you compare it with cbz it has better fuel economy with 55kmpl to cbz’s 35kmpl

Fiero and unicorn give fuel economy of around 50kmpl

2) Power

All the bikes are in the range of 145-150 cc . The power is around the same with a difference of 1-2 bhp .

CBZ scores in term of acceleration since it has a accelerator pump which makes it zoom ahead of every one in traffic.

3) Looks

The best looks are dependent on ones opinion but if you go pulsar with alloy wheels it is the most neo and modern look

My priority for looks is

1) pulsar dtsi with alloy wheels

2) CBZ

3) Unicorn

4) Fiero

4) Serviceability

No body can match bajaj in terms of serviceability , it has wide network of service stations and the parts are also less costly.

Even hero Honda has service station but authorized service station are less.

suzuki and Honda are still nascent

5) riding comfort

Here is where the unicorn takes the pie and bajaj is left behind.

Unicorn has a mono coque suspension and a better riding stability . Pulsar lacks a bit of stability and tends to skid .

The gears on unicorn and CBZ are smooth and in pulsar they are very noisy and sometimes it feels that bajaj didn’t give much time in designing the gear box.

In terms of riding comfort

1) Unicorn

2) CBZ

3) Fiero

4) Pulsar

Prices are one thing you can easily find out not much difference , but be sure of buying as vehicle which has total cost of ownership the lowest .

Conclusion

The bajaj pulsar is cool bike to have has good economy and great looks , although not very high in riding comfort .It easily makes up for it in its other features .Go for bajaj pulsar and you will never repent it .

Don’t go fiero ,go for it only if you are a die hard Suzuki fan
