Pulsar 150 DTSi --> Style Bike. Review on Bajaj Pulsar

After fully exploting my 96 model Yamaha Rxg 135, I bought Pulsar 150 DTSi on 4th Feb 06. Had to do a lot of research, thought about many bikes, read comments, visited dealers etc. I needed a powerfull bike with great looks. Mileage was of no concern for me as I drove my yamaha for 11 years at 25-30km/liter. I did not mind it. I only cared about good looking & powerfull bike.

So, I shortlisted a few models like Honda Unicorn, Pulsar 180, TVS Apache. I was not considering Pulsar 150 at that time. TVS Apache has only been launched in South region. So I have to leave it And I finally decided on All black Pulsar 180. But here came a problem. This model is only available ar some special Bajaj Probiking showrooms. Now this showroom was more than 80km away from my place and the service of this model was also available on these probiking showrooms. So it was very difficult for me to buy this model and also for getting it serviced I will have to drive for 160km coming and going. So compromised on Bajaj Pulsar 150 model. The difference in price was only 3k.

After taking its delivery, the 1st time I drove this bike from showroom to my home I could feel the great power and pickup of the bike. The self start feature was very very good, The ride was very smooth, Great shockers, Comfortable seat, Alloy wheels look too good, Very stable with the MRF wide back tyre. The bike is only 4 days old yet and thus no problem faced till now. Very much satisfied with its performance.
