I bought my pulsar this May with great gusto. I have driven in 7000 Km since then. My experience is as follows.

The rubber parts of the bikes are bad. My engine started leaking oil after 5000 km and then I had to get the rubber washer changed. The side panel rubber dropped off only after 3000 km and I had to get it changed also. One day the Head light started flickering and that too in the delhi foggy night. On reaching the service center I was charged 50 Rs and came to know that the headlight wire had got damaged by itself inside the casing of the wires. They bandaged it to work. But then if I am facing so much rubber parts problem after just 7 months I shudder to think what will happen after another year.

The paint of the bike is also not of very good quality. It started developing scratches very early in the life cycle even though I polished it regularly and always cleaned with a damp cloth. Seems I will have to go for the repainting after 6-7 more months.

One thing ignored by Bajaj are the quality of the service centers. My bike was never cleaned well at the service stations and there is no way to complain. I dont understand that in this todays age why have not these manufacturers not realised the importance of after sales service. When you go to the service station to have a simple thing like the rubber change they would take half an hour in doing it. I have only went to Dewan automobiles service station in okhla delhi,,,so am commenting on my experience there. One nice lady calls after few days of servicing and asks if the bike is running fine, I said yes, and she cut the phone. I guess as long as the bike runs all goes.

The seat of the bike is not as comfortable as I would have preferred, It is bit hard and also slopes a lot. The average though initially above 50 has now crawled closer to 40-45.

I really dont know what will happen to this bike after another year. I would suggest to all to go for Honda or TVS who use good quality spares in thier vehicles. Dont go for the initial looks of the pulsar.
