I was in Nagpur in my holidays in december 2001 and there was a Bajaj showroom in front of my Hotel. I went there for a test ride and they offered me 180 as I got a an aussie motorbike licence and I think they were impressed by that stuff. The bike was looking ok in first glance giving me a feeling of my old 'Ducati Monster' but I wasn't impressed by the seat. I ignited with an electric starter and took a hard ride in the traffic , the power was just ok but I was shocked by the weight distribution and that makes the bike a hell. Bajaj put 90% weight at the front and that makes it very hard to steer and makes u vulnerable to skid as rear part is very light. That was serious engineering fault and I can expect such things from a company who was making scooters and they made this bike on their own without kawasaki.

Pulsar is a bad copy of honda hornet and the engineers had one thing in mind when they were designing pulsar and that was to impress fake bike enthusiasts who have no idea about raw power and they buy bikes to impress people only and they are too many in india. My cousin bought a Pulsar150 in 2002 despite my suggestion to go for a Fiero. I rode the bike for long distances and that shocked me . What the hell was that ? Worst riding position as the tank can make you impotent without spending a single penny on family planning. Gear shifter is above the foot rest and gear shifting is worst in india and I am explaining why I am right. The fuel tank is a piece of bad thoughts making a rider uncomfortable always by forcing to spread the legs and it doesn't mean sporty if u made the fuel tank for a capacity of 18 ltrs without any reason. The engine is not refined at all , making lot of noise and on high revs becomes hard to tolerate. The build quality is poor and u can see dusty instrument penal without any leakage. Again the turn signal indicators are made of recycled plastic and they can be broken by a touch of a feather.

Bad engineering results worst bike and that's true. I never found any mint condition pulsar because this bike is vulnerable to fall. Putting maximum weight at the front doesn't make sporty but that makes the balance worst. They were good in terms of company's profit and they did that well as they sold many in a very short time period. The idea was to make a bike for people who thinks they are enthusiastic riders but actually they are not. they were successful in that effort but that made biking in india a good for nothing stuff. These days when two strokes are going out of sight due to senseless emission norms and people are not able to afford high-cost two strokes like in UK and other developed nations the manufacturers have to stick with four strokes only and they are doing it without making a real Motorcycle. They are making fake machines and they are making new versions day by day like in pulsar , pulsar DTSi, pulsar DTSi with alloy rims and shorter front wheel , making fool of people as their is no significance of such things like shorter front wheel.

When I go to india in holidays every year I always love to ride my RD-350 and my Moto-cross modified Shogun and that means true biking. NO bike in india can beat a RD 350 not even comet . Pulsar is the worst bike in indian history and I have no clue why people buying this bad stuff. I have cleared why am I saying this and I believe in logics.
