I bought this 150cc bike 2 years back(2005) with 15000 km on the dial. I wont go into any detail of the bike as every tom, dick, harry have it but just give my experiences with it in these 2 years.

When all the young Indian bikers are in search of a powerful road beast which can zoom across all types of Indian roads, bajaj has nicely captured that requirement with this bike and shown the path for the other players to come in. Infact they came up, even coming up now and then with many refinements for the technology used in this bike, which keeps the bike new with lots to explore kinda.

P.S: These facts are true for the Pulsar 150cc 2005 model with all regular services done.

Engine- It comes with a 2 year warranty, even there’s no degradation in performance after that as mine has crossed 2 years.

Build Quality – This is where bajaj had compromised, the parts are not reliable in the long run. I got the silencer replaced in the warranty period as it started rusting.

Spare parts- bajaj spare parts are cheaper in cost than any other player, so less for maintenance- light on your pocket.

Mileage- Its never below 50 kmpl for mine, at what speed I rip. offcourse I didn’t do above 80 kmph.

Performance- I travel 35 km daily and it never let me down, may be the reason is due to regular maintenance. The pick up is great, u will be the first one to move ahead when the green comes.

Handling- its great rather I can say Wow! you can definitely feel that u ride a 150 cc not a 100cc.

Braking- There are two essential points for a rider for stopping the bike without any              glitches

1)      you must estimate the amount of braking you must use to avoid hitting the obstacle- this you can get once you are used to the bike until then don’t go for high speeds.

2)      Your confidence level, confidence level is direct proportional to accident avoidance.

Finally words what I can say is if you are above 5’ 9’’ go for it else go for apache rtr.
