As MS mates know, how I felt after the experience with my FZ 16(U can read my review on FZ 16).I was always longing to buy this bike from the time it was launched .I waited for its launch in Delhi. In the meantime sold my Jap bike and used that money to fund this dream bike.

*Price:

On Road 80125 approx(Bangalore)

*Ride Quality and Handling:

Due to its soft compound tyres this bike shows great class in ride quality and handling. Be it straight line stability or stability across corners, it holds its own and outclasses other bikes easily with its outstanding riding position, Tubeless tires, Nitrox shock absorbers and great balance. Sittig stance is very comfortable for long rides.

Braking is truly high class with both disc brakes and I am truly impressed.100 to 0 takes on average 3.0 seconds which is truly appreciable.

*Engine:

Very smooth and stress free engine.Engine sound is way better than FZ 16's terrible noise after 3- 4 months of use.The 220cc engine now makes 21.06 PS at 8500rpm and a stonking19.12Nm of torque at 6500rpm. This is air cooled and also the engine oil viscosity is maintained by oil cooler. First of its kind on any Indian bike.

The crispness of the throttle response anywhere in the spectrum from 2500rpm all the way to its power peak and beyond to the 9500rpm ceiling is unlike anything else. Cold starts are a breeze thanks to the autochoke and more over the engine has a power delivery spread so strong and thick thanks to the large torque output that riding it in town is not just effortless but also massively wallet friendly.

*Performance:

*Wow! is the word

0 to 60- Nearly 4 seconds

0 to 100- 11.56 seconds.

Top speed - 135 kmph for me(single rider).Didn't try to do more because, my black beauty is new.

I think this Bike has capability to reach 145 easily some time.

Power and Torque delivery is well distributed across all gears and linear. This provides this bike with the real punch at all speeds and in any road and traffic conditions. At 135 kmph, you feel as if lot is yet to come.

*Fuel efficiency:

Great fuel efficiency. Thanks bajaj for making such a bike.I am proud of owning a Bajaj bike now. I am constantly getting a mileage of 40+ in city and 50+ on highway.

*Aesthetics:

*One of the best looking bikes on Indian road.Pulsar 220 has best symmetry as far as front and rear looks is concerned.Good quality plastics possibly the best fit and finish on any Indian bike to date. The wing mirrors are very good and well located with a degree of adjustability to give almost all riders a good view of what they have left behind.

*Final Verdict:

I am in love with this bike, and till now no hiccups at all.Whoever has got any doubt can ask me anything specific about it through M2M.
