During my child hood days I wonder about bikes. Biking is so interest to me that I love it everyday every time. When I got my first license I desired to buy a new bike. However our budget doesn’t allowed me to do so, thereby satisfying myself with an old yam rx 100 which my dad had. Dad and me use to have so many word fights of having a new bike, finally approved by selling the rx 100.

Seen lots of ads liked pulsar 220dtsi test drove it, finally brought it. Ya the experience was very good used to challenge so many bikes anyway the ultimate winner was me expect ninja 250. Had a series trouble with my 220 when I had to climb to the top of the hill when it failed to start, its self is not working we tried, tried but nil, thought there may be a loose connection. We down shifted the gear to neutral and brought the bike to bottom. After that we approached a workshop man he said he can’t do anything, Approach a service centre. Service centre is 30km away. So we booked an open auto and spend nearly 600rs for bringing the bike to the city and instantly approached the dealer. They readily examined and they said it was a loose connection. Thank to god it started but after 5 min it again resisted. Ultimately the final result its self got damaged, a new starter and its battery (freedom) needs to be replaced estimated cost more than 3500rs.

Unfortunately the bike doesn’t come under the warranty period. No other choice spend that’s all. After 2 months its muffler got leaking exhaust gases(black) approached engineer, what they said is shocking. The piston and rings are damaged, surprised and shock to hear clocked only 12995kms some what in coma state, its performance evenly depreciated. I consulted the service engineer, he said its better to sell my bike rather than spending so much amount of money of no use at all. Finally I decided to sell we got only 45750rs, again a big loss of money.

My dad used to go to office by walking. My dad wasn’t angry with me may be he is pretending to do so. I insisted to buy a splendor or whatever for rs 45000. He told me that it’s a blunder in selling my 22yrs old Yamaha rx 100 . I suddenly cried reacting to my dads comment. Clocked 1.5lac kms still ready to go not shown any sign of ageing, ready to challenge the new generation bikes, whatever it is.

I requested our second owner of my Yamaha rx 100 to return back. He after seeing my desperation decided to return back. Oh what a surprise. Done retest, porting it will take off 0 to 60 in just 4sec with 65kg rider gives a decent mileage of 40kmsper liter. I was wondering on what ideology I have chosen the p220dtsi. I will say “we will not recognize the odour of the flower in front of us”

Rode it, rode it, still riding, and will ride like a comet with no ending. Its my heart , its my soul , its my all.
