Style 4/5: Front look with the projector lamp is something which will make you stand out in the traffic. Side look takes the rating away as you will feel there is something missing near your bike's engine. Exhaust gives one extra star if you are a fan of big exhaust. Rear look is very much similar to other pulsars and that makes it very common look on the road. For those who love the signature tail light of pulsar, will like this also. There is nothing to be differentiated w.r.t. rear end of the bike with other pulsars except its exhaust which is also similar to p180.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Every bike's engine demands maintenance and proper servicing at fix intervals. If you are following this golden rule, you will have good time with your bike. Same story goes with 220 also. Engine remains really smooth with proper oiling. You can feel the beat of the bike with such a smoothness and the interest of you in the bike remains maintained even after a long drive.
Fuel economy is pretty good being a 220 cc bike. It adds up to the value of the bike. My personal driving includes half of city and rest on highway and still I am getting around 40 mileage after two successful years with it considering the fact that I love speed but not rashly.
Gear shifting is something you have to maintain regularly. After a long drive, you can notice gear slip. In performance section, I consider it as a thumbs down. For every servicing of bike, I have to ask my bike's supervisor to consider gear slip specially.
Ride Quality & Handling The engine gives you so much of confidence that you feel the ride very comfortable and at the same time very aggressive. I have ridden my bike for 380 kms at a stretch. Only problem I faced was shoulder pain and burn in the bumTongue Out which is obvious after such a long drive.
Final Words Even after two years of regular riding of my bike, my love for my bike is still fresh. Still I look for excuses to take my beast out in open. With such a smooth engine, perfect gear to speed ratio, pick up and devil look at night, gives you all reason to be proud of.
Areas of improvement Rear break could have been much better like its younger sister NS. Even a slight difference in rear part from other pulsars would have given a outstanding look in the heavy traffic. Mirror is the worst part of the bike with 40% operability.
