One of the best bikes in India today

I bought my P200 in May. I have clocked a total of 4600kms on it. Till now its been a great experience. I have tested it in all sorts of terrains, did all sorts of stunts on it, rammed it several times into potholes, and fell of it twice (bad luck you see).

First of all I would like to clear a rumor that P200 are not reliabale. There are some freaks who keep saying that the front forks break down and all. There were only two bikes whose front forks broke down and that too not completely, just the shell cracked open, which is not at all dangerous (Infact I have been riding my backup bike with a cracked open fork shell for a year now).

People keep writing false reviews saying they owned the bike, but its all false. Moreover the forks were replace in all bikes the day Bajaj came to know of the incident.

Pros of the bike:

  1. One of the best handling bikes (P220 handles a little better)

  2. Mileage around 45 with sane riding (50-70km/h), drops down to 35 while stunting and races (120+ kmph)

  3. Touched 130km/h on it. Thats 5km/h more than Karizma. Have even beaten P220 with it.

  4. Fastest bike on road today. Beats 220 too ( because 220 rear disk pads keeps sticking to the disk which decreases top speed and acceleration)

  5. Best looking bike till date in India.

  6. Electricals works like charm. Backlit switches are a good addition. Looks superb at night. People just don't stop praising the bike. Children keep asking what bike it is and how the lights glow and all.

  7. Best gearbox from Bajaj. No false neutrals till date. No problems finding neutral, it does need getting used to though.

  8. Sportiest position. Pain in wrists in another rumor. Nothing like that experienced till date. Its only for people who have never exercised or 50+ aged people. If you are neither and your wrists pain, kill yourself, or the breeze may blow you away.

  9. Best brakes on any bike.

  10. Tubeless tyres.

  11. Good service

  12. Awesome exhaust note. Sit at the rear seat of the bike and listen to the exhaust note in 5th gear at 65km/h. Amazing.

Cons

  1. Vibrations at around 95kmh to 110km/h

  2. Rear brake needs getting used to. Locks the wheel easily. Its easy to do stunts but its not for amatuers.

  3. Digital speedo may get faulty. But it can be replaced for free.

  4. BEST LOOKING BIKE. I know it should be in pro but it isn't. Whenever I park my bike somewhere, people and kids start touching my bike. One day someone peeled of the motifs on the bike. Now there are no 200 motifs on it. So people have to ask which bike it is. That rascal stick my motifs on his 150. Suckers!

  5. Not very exclusive when viewed from front.

So thats it. Now I'll be taking my bike for 4th service. Lots of vibrations at 100km/h. I don't like vibes at all. Will be getting that fixed.

Also I have seen people who say the top speed is less. I have a few tips for them.

  1. Get your air filter cleaned.

  2. Top up with a 20w50 engine oil. Castrol active plus or valvoline.

  3. Set the idle engine running speed to 1400 rpms.

  4. Check tyre pressure. should be 28.4 in front and 30.4 in rear tyre.

  5. Get you chain adjusted and lubricated.

  6. Accelerate hard and reach 9000 rpms in each gear.

  7. When in 5th gear crouch as much as you can. Start viewing from inside the fairing. keep your knees close to the tank.

  8. The bike should do 120 km/h at 9000 rpms. Take it beyond and 127 should be easily achievable. 130 needs a long stretch.

  9. If still your bike doesn't do 125+, get it checked at the service centre.

Hope, it helps people make their decision.
