I read almost all the reviews in mouth shut before taking my final call on Bajaj Pulsar 180cc UG4. I made my mind to buy a new two wheeler about 4 - 6 months back and then I started understanding the pros and cons of the vehicles in the market by going through the reviews and also riding few bikes.

Initially, I made my mind that I should go for something other than 100cc., so the choice of setlling down with Hero Honda Splendor and similar breeds faded away from my mind. Eventhough, at the first glance, TVS Flame and Hero Honda Hunk made me say a wow, somehow I felt that this is not the bike I actually want to drive because of few reasons., the primary reason being I am a bit fat and these bike look so small when I ride them. I made my mind to buy a 150cc bike and I ventured into various showrooms starting with Hero Honda, TVS and Honda and started gathering the information and also riding few bikes. I should also admit the fact that I am not a person who wish to ride a bike with high throttle, but I wish that the bike should wrrrrrroooooommm when I actually want it to.So., I felt that 150cc bike would be ideal for me.

So., the choices that I got were, Hero Honda Hunk(again), to an extent Apache RTR(eventhough it is 10cc extra), Honda Unicorn. Again the fact of'small' came into picture when I thought of Apache RTR( I felt so)., so I took it off my list., even I dived into the option of choosing Hero Honda Stunner and at the glance in the showroom, yes, it looked stunning, but I felt that something is missing in this bike(completely personal). So., I ended up with Honda Unicorn(150cc) and even I went to the extent of almost booking it. Then, luckily the informed the people that I will book the Unicorn in a week time and few personal reasons of my own I didnt book the vehicle.

Then, finally, one fine day, I saw the'Karizma ZMR', in one of the Hero Honda Showroom and I was taken by surprise, but when I enquired, the dealer said that the price is almost a lakh+ .but that was the time I felt that why shouldn't I choose the bike from the pulsar family., there were people who said that, not to go for pulsar, because, it became a common bike., but I took it in a different way, there are so many bikes in the city, so it is fully tried and tested., and also the peice that I am going to get would not be a old one(may be;)).

So., I finally settled between two options, Pulsar 150cc and Pulsar 180cc. Eventhough when seen by the looks, there are only few cosmic changes between 150 and 180cc., but technically I found that there are so many good reasons to settle down for 180cc than the 150cc one. Reasons being for a difference of 4K, I will get the split handle(looks fabulous), split seat, heavy and wide rear wheel and tubleless tyres. Also, I felt that in another 5 years, 150cc vehicles would be the same like the 100cc now and would find hard to fight with the heavy traffic that we may have in cities like Bangalore., so I finally settled down with Bajaj Pulsar UG4 180cc and I bought it on 11th Jan. I rode the first 500kms and I gave the black stallion for the first service. The first 500kms that I have driven so far gives me a great feeling.

I ride daily for almost 50kms in total to my office(to and fro) and the control that it gives eventhough its a 147kg giant is amazing. It allows me to take the sharp turns and also it gives that extra edge to pass through small spaces(inbetween vehicles).in short, if you want to buy a bike of good control and wish to say the word'I made the right decision'.its worth giving a thought towards 180cc Pulsar UG4.I feel it:) .Happy riding.I owe my sincere thanks to all the people who written the reviews before, that helped me in making the right decision! Thanks a ton.Cheers!
