Hello Everybody,

Thankyou very much for your interest in reading my review. This is infact, my second review on the already appreciated and proven performance bike. Yes, the PULSAR 180.I had bought this bike in the last week of April 2006 and have 3000kms on the odometer now. Therefore wanted all of you to know how she is performing at this stage and I also hope that reading these details would certainly help all those who are planning on having herin their parking place <:D>.

Now guyz, I am going to be honest in telling all of you about the experience that I've had with her till date(which includes +ves as well as -ves).

Early Morning Startups: She has given me absolutely no problemon any of the mornings. Every morning I complusarily start her using the kick only. I have never used the electric starter for the first morning start. NEVER. The kick is hard, as compared to other bikes, but one gets used to it very soon. No starting problems.

Noticeable Changes: Overall, I would say that she has become smoother. In the sense, the ride has become much more smoother than how it was when I had brought her home. The exhaust note has become bulkier and she rumbles even more now, Acceleration response is very SHARP, Rest everything is as good as new.

Gearbox:I did not face any major issues with the gearbox. Switching thru gears has been a good experience for me. Well, not that I did'nt face any false neutrals, but it was not sumthing worth wooing about. I personally feel that if we ride her the way she is ideally supposed to be riden, I dont think she has got any major flaws. Infact, I feel that the gears are now more tuned in, or we can say going quite easy with each other.

Acceleration:As I have said earlier, the acceleration response is very spontaneous. She is very alert. No slogging or sluggish movement. Never. We just need to be in the right gear at any given speed, thats it. Many times we dont even need to switch to the previous gear, I just throttle her a little bit more and I immediately get that required thrust. And the engine does not knock.

Braking: Excellent brakes. No problems of any sort till date. No skidding or screeching. The braking is quite calm and instantaneous.

Roadgrip:She offers a really good road grip. However I personally feel that the front tyre should have been broader than what it is right now. When riding in a straight line, she is quite steady. However on sharp curves (especially at high speeds) I feel that there's no more meat left to the front tyre and I dont feel confident enough. I dont kno if anyone of you have felt the same way.

Suspension: Fantabulousis what I would say, because I havent got a better word <:D> Single seat ride is a bit hard, just a little bit. I feel that the rear suspension actually kicks in when theres a pillion and the ride gets really smooth. Front suspension is good, but at times I get an extra feedback which is not so welcome.

Mileage: Well, an important feature here, isnt it ? Normally, home to office and from office back home, on not very crowded roads, at an average speed of 50kmph to 60kmph (including 4 signal halts), she returns 55kmpl to 57 kmpl on a regular basis. Surprizing, isnt it ? Well, not for Pulsarians... coz they are used to having their cake and eating it too <:D> Ride her above 80kmph and she will return a mileage anywhere between 42kmpl to 47kmpl. These figures may vary from rider to rider. I have mentioned what I got from my P180. Worst mileage I got was 42kmpl and the best is 63kmpl. An engine of such a high capacity being so generous on the mileage count is not something we get to see everyday.

Electricals:Still going strong without any problem. All the lights functioning perfectly fine. No issues with electricals.

Verdict: An excellent value for what we pay. Every aspect of her has something or the other which the owner can be definitely proud of. Take care of her and she will work for her master loyally. There's no denying this fact. May it be High speeds or a Slow Graceful Ride, satisfaction is always guaranteed. And for that she wont ask you for anything extra, just give her the regular servicings and TRUST ME, you will be a proud and satisfied owner of this BLACK MUSCLE. She is a classic performer. I give her full points.

Thankyou
