Bajaj Pulsar 135LS is my third Bike. After going through lots of surfing and test rides I decided to go for this bike.
I started searching for the bikes in November 2010. With the prices of petrol on high rise one has to see what is the best milage he is able to get in such a dearer time.
I Visited TVSE, HONDA & Hero Honda showrooms.
The TVSE Jive is a good bike but when you ride it looks smilar to Bajaj M-80 Model of 1980. It has a great value for money when it comes to traffic snarls as in mumbai we do have often bumper to bumper traffic. But this bike has a problem, It lacks in power and immediate pickup.
Honda twister is a good bike but is not good on roads. When you drive at a steady speed of 40 -50 KPH and then appy brakes it skides to sides because of very narrow tires.
Hero Honda passion is nothing but the face lift of splendor and Passion, hence no good.
Now about the bike by which I was fascinated.
The Bajaj 135 cc gives a better “tucker” to 150 cc bike. Its pickup and milage are superb. It reaches 0 – 60 in just 15 sec.
It just 25 days old and the bike has given me 50 KmPL. Ofcourse one should check the milage only after 2nd service.
Here are some my personal opinion about Pros & Cons:
Pros:
Mileage & Power together
Light weight & very good riding comfort
You can drive as slow as 15 - 20 kmph in 5th gear, which is needed for city traffic
4 valve engine, which helps to rev upto 120 kmph speed
Gear shifting easy. As compared to other bikes in this segment where the gears are all top.
Cons:
Once bike reaches 80 KMPH it starts to vibrate, it is hamara Bajaj hence cannot help it.
Engine sound changes after 75 kmph (smoother to bit louder)
The Bike has very bad seating arrangement. One tends to lean on the front fork.
The bike is not good for a long drive as you tend to get back aches.
The pillon seat is too high as compared to 150cc
