The PLATINA series is primarily for plains and with a payload of 65 kgs, This class of bikes represent the old workhorses of ancient times they will do any work any where but at their own pace and the best part is they do it.. I have gone on 500kms of back breaking ride on it quite a few times, and ghats also ..
it worked and did well but was like a bullock cart in ghats and ok on highways.....no where near the legendary splendor in handling and vibrations ....noise is there , not a refined engine and rider comfort is thrown to the dogs....
In all this is a bike for the person who is neither urban nor a villager and just wants to get from one place to another. just dont expect anything from this bike........its only attraction is its price, I bought for that reason only and had no expectaions , so I love it.
specf:

max weight for comfy driving - 130 kgs
DEFECTS
noise of engine
brake rear -wears fast.
3.On high temp the engine output power is somewhat reduced.
- seating some what uncomfortable.
5.handle transmits all the vibrations.
PLATINA qualities.
extremely manevorable.
can go long drives without trouble more than 500kms(no issues).
oil consumption steady through out..
light weight helps in reduced inertia. great braking..
5.If taken really good care of , will never give trouble.
6.starts very well on cold days.
- clutch is perfect(needs to be somewhat soft for city dwellers)
This bike has the reputation of stopping on its own when the rains are too much or here is too much cold..
