Myself Chaitali and today I am going to discuss my personal experience regarding the " BAJAJ KRISTAL DTSi " scooter which I bot around three months ago.
First things first, The Look of this scooter is very old. It looks like we have purchased a ten year old scooter. It comes with only two colors, red and silver. So the options are very limited and you cant help it. No design or graphics is there. So its not at all a fancy looking stylish scooter. The body design is average, nothing fancy, nothing new. All the features are like an old scooter, so I am not at all impressed by the looks.
Second most important aspect is the quality of the material used, The plastic or the fiber quality is very very bad. If you put your fingers forcefully the fiber bends and makes noise like it will break. So you need to be careful while using this scooter, as it can get damaged very easily. The size of this scooter is very small, not even appropriate for two people. you need to adjust. The weight is very high, 125 kgs. so its difficult to handle, and twist and turns are hard due to its heavy weight. So its not at all swift moving and not at all easy to handle.
It has got a 100cc automatic 2 stroke engine with 7 ps @6500 rpm, which makes this scooter less powerful of its class. The engine capacity is very low in performance and mileage is very low almost 30 kmpl. So this scooter is not fuel efficient. 7 ps power output makes is slow going and the instant pick up is very low, 0 to 60 at 8 seconds. So if you are looking for a powerful machine this scooter is not for you. It don't have alloy wheels so with no disk breaks. so its heavy on wheels and hard to stop while on go. 100/80 75cm drum breaks are there. Which is very low performing.
The comfort level of this scooter is very less, as the cockpit is very high and you need to be very straight while riding. The suspension is telescopic and the quality is very hard, so your back hurts, and the comfort level is very low. It has got only ten liters fuel tank, so you need to fuel it very often. The cockpit don't have lights so its difficult in night to see the controls. The head lamp is not very power full, Its difficult in rain and in for to see with the help of this head light. Don't have ABS so it is very risky.
The ties quality used is not that good, No branded tires are given so the griping quality is not very good, If you put break hard often is skits and very risky during rain, So you need to put high performing tires with your money after purchase. The ground clearance is very low only 110 mm. Often a high bumper hits the scooter. And it can damage the scooter as well.
So the looks of the scooter is very average, Mileage is very bad, Not at all comfortable, Reliability is zero, road grip quality is very bad, So all over this scooter is not at all worth of buying. I am still suffering after purchasing this scooter. The main problem is the customer service is very bad, They don't even provide free servicing and the they charge very high, No specific warranty is gives, The service center is not very helpful. And it takes almost one week to do servicing. So please don't buy this scooter, its not good at all.
