Myself RAGHAVENDRA D  KABADE. I decided to file the papers on consumer court, if you are phasing a problems in Bajaj discover 125ST bike. Please join with me.


I have purchased new Bajaj Discover 125T bike on 04/03/2013 in VST  BAJAJ, Rajajinagar, Bangalore


From purchased date to till date I have suffered the mileage and other relevant problems even though bike speed was maintained between 30 to 40 km throughout.  1st service was given on 06/04/2013(odometer Reading: 656), after 1st service also I have not got the mileage. And after one month, I phased some problem in bike like getting noise in engine and vibration in bike. I was visited to your service center and met to Mahantesh(Sr. Service Advisor), told the  issues occurred. For this he has simply applied the lubricant on the chain and did water service for whole bike and charged of 112Rs. for service. It was little good for two days, after that bike regains it with the same problems. Bike mileage getting drop down below 40kmpl.


On 2nd service dated on 03/08/2013 the same above mentioned issues has been clearly notified to concerned person (Mahantesh). They simply did water service, Engine Oil change. Hand over to me.


After this service also they failed to resolve the issues.


With these issues I was raised 1st complaint. See the below details of the 1st compliant.


1ST COMPLAINT RAISED: CR-134694(19/08/2013)


Brought Bajaj 125ST.I am just getting a mileage of about 40 kms even on run at about 40-50 Kms Constant speed.  Disappointed on these which I was expecting a mileage of about 55 Kms/ltr. I raise a issue on NO MILEAGE while giving service. Already two services are over. But not yet resolve.


Still I am getting a mileage of about 40kms and below. I am very much fur-stating that why should I purchased Discover 125ST bike with these issues. I need that mileage at what you given suerity, before buying a bike that the mileage is to be 55-60kms.I requesting you to resolve this problem ASAP


Sanjeev Kumar V. (Asst. Manger) called and told that to bring the bike for service..So again I visited to service center on Saturday and met Mahantesh, With in 2min He did some tuning on the carborator and told that to test it again. I tested again and not at all get the result. Without intimation Mr.Sanjeev was closed 1st complaint ticket on 20/08/2013. After that I called to Abajith (Dy. Work Manager) and told that the issue. And He also did same thing and he sent guy named Mani with me for road test and got result of 4.5km/100ml on 31/08/2013. But the thing was as per my observation for the road test,  fuel used was more than the 100ml(Measuring container of 100ml+ Fuel inside the pipe connected to carborator).


After this they have told to me to approach back on Monday. For the sake of this I took day off from my work on Tuesday (03/09/2013) and visited again to the service center. They did a service to sort out the issue; again Abijith has sent the same guy for 100ml test drive. The result was same as above 4.5km/100ml. But it was tricky play as did before. Even though mechanic was giving silly reasons like traffic, road was not good and so on. With this issue, I was discussed with Abijith and told that I am not satisfied at all of your service. He told me that to come after Ganesh festival. And they simply closed the job card.


Because of these issues you are completely failed to resolve the issues. Again I raised 2nd complaint and see the details below.


2ND COMPLAINT RAISED: CR-136164(07/09/2013)


AS PER THE COMPLIANT RAISED(CR-134694), THE PROBLEM IS NOT RESOLVED. SERVICE CENTER MANAGER IS SIMPLY WASTING MY VALUABLE TIME, MONEY AND PETROL. THEY ARE CHEATING WHILE DOING ROAD TEST OF 100ML MILEAGE TESTING. AND THEY ARE DOING TIME PASS. THE FOLLOWING PROBLEMS ARE NOT YET RESOLVED TILL DATE. THE PROBLEMS ARE:




  1. NO MILEAGE (GETTING 40 TO 45KMS/LTR WHERE EXPECTING 55 TO 60 KMS/LTR).




  2. JERK IS COMING WHILE START RUNNING.




  3. GETTING VIBRATION WHILE RUNNING.




  4. NOT ON THE LIST BUT FUEL INDICATOR IS NOT WORKING PROPERLY.






ON TOP OF THESE MY MONEY, TIME AND PETROL IS WASTED WHICH ARE VERY IMPORTANT IN MY LIFE. I AM ALREADY FRUSTRATED WITH THESE ISSUES.


PLEASE GIVE ME ACKNOWLEDGMENT THROUGH E-MAIL ONLY.


IF IT IS NOT RESOLVED IMMEDIATELY, I WILL TAKE VERY SERIOUS ACTION ON THIS.


Again Mr.Sanjeev contacted me through phone and apologies the service provided before and met on Wednesday (11/09/2013) in my office and clearly checked the vibration in steady condition. And told that to leave the bike for two days in the service center. So I left the bike on Thursday (12/09/2013). After that on Saturday (14/09/2013) He called and asked for leave the bike two more days and he assured that the bike will deliver on Monday (16/09/2013). But the main thing is before giving delivery; He again closed the ticket on Saturday (14/09/2013) without my intimation. This type of behavior is completely disappointed to me. He was simply giving silly reasons. Monday (16/09/2013) Mr.Sanjeev and one mechanic came to my office with my bike. In front of Mr.sanjeev only we did road test of exact 100ml.and we was got result of 3kms/100ml.


For two times did a test drive and I was got same result of 3kms/100ml. This result again made me so frustrated. And I couldn't receive the bike till yet. Still it is in service center only. If something happen to the bike, you only the responsible. Your guys are simply doing time pass. Mr.Sanjeev is failed to resolve the problem. After all these issues, I got conclusion that the Bajaj Discover 125ST is completely defective product.


And I raised 3rd compliant as below details


3rd COMPLAINT RAISED: CR-136763(16/09/2013)


As per the compliant (CR-134694), (CR-136164) the problem is not at all resolved. Still the bike is in service center for more than 5 days. Without resolving the issues you are closing the Tickets which is highly disappointing on your service part. they had not meet the requirements, which was mentioned in complaints. The bike is completely defective piece. I don't want this bike any more. Whether you want to replace the bike or refund the full amount and the expenses incurred for the services. Otherwise I will raise the complaint in Consumer Court.


Regarding issue of my bike, I met Mr. M V Venkatesh (Deputy General Manager) on 21/09/2013 and explained the service issues and the defective product of Bajaj discover 125ST bike. Without my knowledge Mr. Sanjeev (Asst. Manager) had changed the carburetor. I asked to Mr. M V Venkatesh to give me the written statement or replacement of changed carburetor in my bike without my permission and statement of what all service they have done in these 10 days on my bike and road test report also which was done by Abijith (Dy work Manager) and Mr. Sanjeev.


I have asked for written acknowledgement for the problem I have undergone due to malfunction of my new bike but they have denied giving it in written.


MY bike was at service station for 10 days prior to the delivery which I took forcefully on 21 Sep 2013.


When I went there to the service station to ask for the written service reports done to my bike as a service procedure they denied even after several communication.


Intially MR Venkatesh agreed to give all the documents in written but when I met him personally at office which is at VST Bajaj, Rajajinagar, Bangalore he refused to give the documents and spoke in indecent manner, disrespectful, aggressive manner.


He always tried to force to take the delivery and check for the proper running of my bike which already I tried 4 times before but still they want me to take my bike without my satisfaction.


Above all Venkatesh gave warning to me if I would not take my bike then I would suffer a lot.


It has been a very tough situation for me from past two month because of the unsatisfactory service support towards my bike.


As you did not give any written documents as an acknowledgement I was forced or left with no option then to take my bike unwillingly from your service centre on 21/09/2013. As an Add on to all these issues Mr. Sanjeev did not do 100 ml road test to check for fuel efficiency on my bike and did not show the old carburetor which was replaced by a new one as per them.


He simply handed over the bike to me. Going forward I would request you to behave properly towards the customers.
