You'll know I love you if I offer to let you ride My bike. Don't do

it and I'll love you even more.

I love driving and have passion for that.'' So Never ask me for directions if you're in a hurry to get there''

Hey you all people must have till date known the specified and unspecified ''specifications'' for this bike.So I won't bore you with the unnecessary jargons.

So instead I will begin with the reason why I bought the bike so early knowing that only PULSARShave succeeded from the bajaj stable.Let me tell you that I am neither of the following

1.......richie-rich,

2.......fanatic,

3.......dumb-ass

4.......bajaj worshipper.

I am saying all the above because of the reason for buying a completely untested

bike falls in one of the above categories.

''Then Which category do I fall in?''

For that let me tell you people something about myself. I am an engineering college student at Ahmedabad(DA-IICT). and I was very keen to have a bike completely for myself.

after waiting(or rather persuading parents) for 2 years I finally got the green signal to buy a bike. But there was a catch. I wanted Big muscular bikes (while my parents secretly wanted me to have a LUNAinstead!!Reason being that it was of less c.c. and thus less accident prone. So they put a ceiling for the bike around Rs 42,000

So that I could have had no bigger muscular bikes.

During this I along my friends tried to get through the problem.Needless to say that there was no solution in sight except for going a second hand bike(which I didn't like...Hmmm cummon....i am in college...).

we did everything from garage to friends to foes to stranger to net to reviews everything to get round my dilemma. After doing everything I made my mind for Bajaj CT-100 halfheartedly.Atleast it had better power than splendor and had decent looks too.

Next day I went to the showroom with my roomie and asked to show ct-100. they just simply showed a bike parked amongst the other inconsequential bikes. My heart rebelled and said,''After so many years of waiting you are gonna ride this bike....? and u just simply forget the chicks....(no more ghaas dalna ...)'.that was enough for me. I couldn't bear it and just ran from that place vouching that I won't buy that bike. I will do well with my Bicycle. But then my friends who were eager for the Bike-ride again persuaded me that given the circumstances it was the best bet. well I also thought so be it. I will definitely buy this bike tomorrow.

meantime in the night while I was surfing that I saw a news that bajaj was discontinuing wind and caliber-115. on further searching on that I found that bajaj were working on project ''k-60'' and was going it to name it DISCOVER and going to launch in select cities.

i also gave a bird eye view on it on the autocarindia site and came through the whopping power at unbeatable price(there was no mention on the price). I just thought that it was beyond my Price-brackett and didn't give much thought to that.

next day I went to the bajaj dealer and gave him all cash(Believe me I gave him all CASH) and said that I want a black CT-100(i never had bought a big thing alone just went there as I used to buy a TOOTHPASTE).The sales man gave me an incredulous look. I thought that it is because of the cash that he is giving me that look.I said that what happened ........Gimme the bike and do the paperwork fast and make sure that I want that black colored bike.

Salesman gave me a hard look and said,''sir, forget the black color we are having the wait period of at least 2-week on this bike.......... Know it was my turn to give him a blank look.I thought that ok boy ..........urs luck is up. I just waited for that fu**ing

bike for 2 days and now am told that I can't have it .what a tough luck... !!. Just as I turned to go away to the yamaha showroom to buy some bike(i had made my mind that day to buy a bike,ANY BIKE). Suddenly I saw a bike next to ct-100 with major part covered with the gunnybag and thermocol. but it seemed somewhat bigger.''what's that'' I said ''besides that bike?''

As by now u might have guessed that ,that bike was a DISCOVER........My Discover.

Epilogue

Salesman told me that the 3 bikes have just arrived an hour ago for promotion etc. I enquired about the price and he said that he doesn't know. I was about to leave but something inside me said that feebly I should know the price on my further probing and more than that my earnestness moved the salesman. after half an hour of intensive enquiry he quoted me the price and lo and behold, it was within the ceiling.

I just had had my first bike and I was proud owner of it.

..............................................................................
..........................................................

Now the question remains that why have I written the review almost after an year?

reason is simple, in some of the reviews I read some nasty things about this bike. and wanted to give a truer and clearer picture(on a lighter side there was a mail from mouthshut to write review and win !!!).

Launch of Super-splendor and glamour added like a flame to the fire.Everyone have started to voice their opinion.

One think I disliked about the few writers is that they just wrote the review on riding the bike for a single time(some even managed to do without it!!!) and then suddenly coming out with a verdict. In my opinion bikes are like wine they improve each time u give them a close attention(same like ageing in bike's terminology perhaps).and then you can appreciate the strength and the weakness. In this regard I am sure that I qualify as I have had this beauty since a year.

now its time to look at some of the facts and record straightening.

1........My bike gives average of around 60kmpl

2........Looks are superb

3........Power and pickup matches the Pulsor.

4........Good Suspension

5........Good Maneuverability even in dense traffic

4........Comfortable ride.

5........Gear change produces sound

6........Not very smooth engine noise.

If u wanna want a bike.Just give the above things a consideration. and if this suits yours needs then don't excercise urs grey cells just get it.

I being in college have ridden all sort of bikes from Rx-100 ,Cbz,splendor, freedom pulsar, bullet to enfield thunder bird .other bike owners have appreciated the performance of DISCOVER.It's All Truth no tall claims(BAJAJ doesn't employ me

My roomie now owns a Super-Splendor. and he too likes my Bike over his,not only on style front but possibly on any other conceivable youthful parameter..

''I consider a friend someone who'll get out of bed at 2am to drive his Bike to the middle of nowhere to get me when I'am broken down.''

If you're a good bike handler, you don't need to wear a helmet

(I'm so stupid a brain injury wouldn't affect me)
