Choosing a bike is really very tough coz of two contrast reasons
- There are so many bikes company coming with so many new version of bikes in todays
market that its tough to decide which one to go for.
- There is hardly any option left when you go to for a Powerful,Good looking and Fuel Efficient bike.
What ever may b the reason every search should end.My search ends at Bajaj Discover and not Pulsar a bike which satisfy the 2n'd point and thats why I call it PowerFUEL.
With 125 cc DTSi Engine gives enough power to race ahead of others I have noticed many head
truning towards me when I fly from their Rear-view mirror and come in their View.
You can even beat Pulsar in its top(5th) gear and Discover in its Top(4th gear)
Pleasure to drive a Discover is really a better & It has list of advantages
- Enjoyee the driving, Gears are smooth, Suspension is good enough to feel
comfortable on most of the Indian roads. Brakes are good enough to keep you safe in
Indian Traffic condition. Sleek body design allows better control over bike.
Even though Discover is 125 cc and looks similar to pulsar the advantage of
Sleek design of Petrol Tank doesn not block the handel while talking Turns. If you Try to
take a 'U' Turn its much pain if you are on a Pulsar coz handel get blocked
to take deep turns and then the weight of bike adds more to the pain.
Where as in Discover its easy n fun.
- Electronic Start is just got better with Discover, Press the button and change the gyre.
Amazing thing is that you can start the bike in any gyre, for that just hold the Clutch & press start button.
So, In the middle of traffic, No body will come to know that you have just restarted your bike.
- Fuel efficincy 60-65 KPL, much higher than the 50-55 KPL of Pulsar, that means you can roam
an extra 10 to 15 km compare to your friend who had a Pulsar.
- Less Sound, Calm and Cool, That is some thing which I really like in Discover, its calm, cool
and almost noice less engine makes you feel that you are Cruising and NOT Racing. This helps you
to have a pleasure of driving as well as enjoy the chatting to your Girl friend on the cellphone.
And still make her belive that you are not talking while Driving. BUT DO USE HANDFREE FOR THIS.
- Only 4 Gyers compare to 5 gyres in Pulsar, Driving in city is like running between the Traffic Signals. 4 gyres help you to reach to the top gyre and then come back to neutral with less foot movement and lesser time.
As I said earlier the 4th gyre of Discover is much powerful than the 5 gyre of pulsar so that helps to race ahead in traffic.
Comfort and Looks, Hight of seat is perftect for an 5'5'' to 6 feet guy and the seat is comfortable.
Aloy wheels and a SMILING head light add a punch to the looks of bike
7.Price of Discover is much less than Pulsar comparing the difference. Comparing the bikes of same category but diff company Discover is priced lesser.
- Brakes are good enough to stop you at crucial time. You can also feels the Ribs of the pillon
when ever you want :)
- Rider Control, helps in maintaing good milage. Rider Control mechanism monitors the speed of the bike and when you speed up against the effeciency, you will feel a Slight resistence at you Accelater.
Feauture is good as this does not stops you from racing ahead but warns you that U r
driving against the fuel economy.
Disadvantage
Discover had No Ignition switch off button, you have to switch it off it by key. It doesn't have the side-stand indicator
as in pulsar. But don't think these things matter much. Though I have a suggestion if Bajaj or Hero honda
can come up with Gyre indicator it will be much more helpful.
No disk brake.
