Does the discover really make the name proud ?. Review on Bajaj Discover 100

For all your comfort I will write my comments on point form.first of all I should remark on the present condition of my bike

I have done all most 8000 kms on it and I have done up to 3rd service and every day I travel about 60 kms.

so lets begin

• I bought this bike before 6 months.in the first 2 week it ran smoothly.and then it start to give me problems

initially the engine starts to stop when the bike slow down.i talked to the service guys after 1 month running

they told me that this is a common problem on discovers and reason for fault is that it's carbulator is a different one from other bajaj bikes

and it has a ballon and the petrol initially come in to ballon and that ballon pumps that fuel+air mixture to the engine.

so unlike other bikes carbulator doesn't directly pump petrol to the engine.so their the proble starts to appear.but

in Suzuki gn125 bike has the same principle and it doesn't have that problem.and the gn125 gives u around 60 kmpl.

so the bajaj service guys told me to apply small amount of 2T in to the tank.so I argued with they does it hurts the engine.and they reply ''MIGHT NOT''.

So I applied 2t and the problem start to slow down.but I dont know if they are ging to void my guarantee if they knew about this.

some timews after 60 -80 kmph engine starts to give some unusual sound like ''SLUNG - SLUNG'' .i dint know what it is but engine really hesitate the top speed I guess.

lots of plastics and the built quality of the bike is extremly low compare to japaneese bikes.specially head light is highly

prone to damage.

unusal sounds starts to emerge when traveling long distance.

after stop the bike after long run some metal sound start to come from the engine and the silencer.

starter motor start to give problems .

• bike starts to shake after 80 kmph very badly

fell the strain of the bike when there is a pillion

head lamp is very dissapointing when rainy conditions and night

pick up and accelaration wise I dont feel any significant difference between discover vs fazer and discover vs tvs victor 125

fuel efficency is between 55 - 62kmpl. but when u starts to accelarate fuel rate decrese rapidly.

reselling value is very low

+top speed is rapidly decreasing(it really dislikes to accelarate but earlier it was fun and archivable)

chain starts to shake after every 500 kms. it will give u a real problem.

starter motor some times reluctant to start and it gives u unusal sounds.

i thought new bikes are good but it seems they also got the same problems after 4000kms riding.

verdict

initially I thought this bike is the best. I even wrote a comment on the bike. but unfortunatly after 8000 kms

i have to take my words back sincerly.

i even recomended this bike to three of my friends and neighbours and they bought this bike and now all they suffer form this bike.

i think they even curse me beacause of the bike.i'm really upset about the bike and the company

I WILL NEVER RECOMMEND THIS BIKE TO SOMEBODY EVER. IT'S A SHAME AND SIN.

SO I REALLY TELL U GUYS DONT EVER THINK TO PURCHASE THIS BIKE.IT'S A SUFFERING.REALLY.

INSTEAD PLEASE GO FOR HERO HONDA OR YAMAHA. EVEN THEY ARE MORE COSTLY THAN THIS.(EVEN DONT GO FOR TVS,KINETIC AND LML .THEY ARE ALSO PROBLEMATIC BIKES

because in tvs bikes has starting problems and the tank has a big tendency to breakout beacause of the cheap metal)

so please consider about those factors.please invest your money on a good bike.finally for current discover owners please dont put 2T to your bike.i think it will increase your problems
