I bought my discover 135 in oct 2008 for 61, 000/- on road. Today I crossed 2100km. Actually I feel eager to write the review somewhere is November. But I thought that’s to early to write a review. So, I waited at least 2000km to know more about my bike. Today I crossed, so I am writing now.

I love my bike a lot. I believe the proverb “Physical appearances are often deceptive”.This is exactly true in case my bike. Honestly I don’t like its look (even all the model in discover series). Its ugly. The front side indicators are worst to see. I don’t know why bajaj made 135 like this.

Initially I thought Glamour from HH. Looks wise that bike is nice. Other than that nothing is there in that bike(Average build quality). So, I give this and start thinking pulsar 150cc. Nothing to tell about this bike because its “kingof all bikes” in the market.

Basically I don’t like the fifth gear and even pulsar 150 cost is 69000/- at that time, also I am looking for a decent mileage bike. So, I give up pulsar also. Finally I choose discover. Before buying I don’t even properly look atthis bike, because as I told I dislike its look.

But why I chosen means:--> Its engine: Really its rock solid. Over these 4months (2100km) it never and ever fails. Engine idealing (when u suddenly reducethe throttle while coming to lower speeds engine will goes off) is one the problemI found In most the bikes (even new ones also). I am so lucky, I don’t have this problem. It never stops its beating until u turn off the engine.

And moreover I like its beating sound (dhug dhug) and its butter smooth. But you feelsome kind of vibration when u cross 50kmph speed (this may be bcos of lack of 5thgear which I don’t like).--> Its mileage: its gives me min 55kms/lit and onetime I got 60kms.

Ofcourse there is strong reason behind this mileage is I never crossed 50kmph and my average speed is 40kmph. May be most of the bikes willgive maximum mileage at this speed, but got the constant 55kms mileage at alltime. And offcourse expecting more than this from a 135cc is meaning less.

Its Ride comfort, reliably & breaking : comfort wise compared to pulsar it’s a little bit lower, but it satisfies me because it got the same shock absorb system, wide tires and digital console just like in pulsar. And in reliability aspect, I always trust on my bike, all that needs a simplesingle kick, starts its engine smoothly at a very lower RPM. (I found one problem with cold start, in morning for the first time start some times I need to givechock, and also what I found is if the tank is in reserve state this problem is appearing frequently).

And coming to braking, yes you can depend on its brakingsystem. once I escaped from a dangerous accident, all because of its disk brakes. When you apply both the breaks all of sudden itwill bring you from 50 to 0 in 3secs with out skidding. But I amnot sure when you are going at 80/90 because I never reached this speed.Ok, finally what I am suggestingto new bikers is, if u want a decent mileageand good performance bike yes u can choose this one with out any doubt.
