I have been riding Bajaj Discover 125cc for the last one and a half years. I honestly say, this is a great bike. Initially I wanted to get a Pulsar. But considering the mileage and cost efficiency, I decided to buy Discover, after a lot of research and after reading reviews in mouthshut. Till today, I have never regretted my decision.
Though the power and torque might not be equal to a 150 cc bike, Discover still is the best in its category. I have driven extensively in the Chennai traffic, and my bike has always supported me completely in pickup and power.
And about the mileage, initially, I expected it to be around 50-55, pretty decent for a 125 cc bike. But to my surprise, it gave 60 and continues to giv 60-65 till date. I am quite satisfied with this, coz a few of my friends who ride 100cc bikes also say they get this mileage only.
The looks are simply wonderful, and it can be an eye catcher anytime anywhere.
One of the best things I would say about Discover is its suspension. It has an excellent suspension wherever u ride, drop it in potholes. It gives a smooth ride for the rider. I have tried a few other bikes too. But never got a smooth ride as my bike gives me.
There are a few drawbacks also.
The pickup is a bit less when there is another person on the bike with me.
The head light low beam is of no use at all. I always require to ride with the high beam. (meaning, the low beam is too low, and the high is not high enough)
The gear box goes chuck... chuck... chuck... all the time. It could have been a bit smooth.
However, these are minor only, and my overall experience with this bike has been great. I would easily recommend this bike to anyone. A few of my friends have bought Discover on my advice, and they have been having a great experience till now. I really love my Discover.
