Truly this darling machine is a Work horse that comes with ''a never say die''- motto.
If u want a 2-wheeler,
With low maintainence,
With durability,
With a multipurpose Utility,
With cost that suits ur pocket
etc ....

Think of nothing else than ''BAJAJ---CHETAK''
Chetak has served a major part of people without trouble.
No matter how rough and worst treatment it gets -only 1 service and it is as good as a new one.
Things that define a chetak good:
1: Drive it for years as u like it no problem at all
2: Maintainence-- very low (only periodic service
after 3/4 months and oiling)
3: spares-- available at any auto shop throughout INDIA
(cost of a clutch --125/-approx ,brake cable 50-70/- approx etc which are almost lowest in all scooters)
4: Cost-- approx 30000/- for a new one and also if u buy on finance u buy it at ur convinence or buy a second hand for 10000/- (5-7 yrs used)
5: step through design for comfort and also one can carry small things or even office bags or ur kids -- no problem at all
6: With 145cc engine and 7.5 bhp it leaves the splendor
back in pickup
7: Small tyres but scooters have small tyres. Riding continuously a 2-wheeler for 5-6 yrs in INDIA surely gives back problems and small tyres are even worse but chetak has strong shock absorbers for a scooter.
8: Front dicky is very useful as it can accomodate very many things , from ur tiffin box to small bags to papers or books etc no need to carry them in different carrybags as in a bike as the bikes dont have such big dickys or even any dickys at all.
9: The engine is 2-stroke so the mileage could be expected less but one can get a mileage of around 30-35-40 depending on type of usage which is not bad at all.
