Purchased on April 2006

Total Mileage: 24000 kms

Fuel Economy: 60-65(In bangalore city)  50 kmpl(on highway at 80kmph+ with pillion)(All are actuals Fuel tank top up to top up test)

Seeing rest of the reviews, I feel It would add my valuable inputs as I have driven almost 24k kms.

I as a driver drive at very high speed. High speed doesnt mean, I am rash or careless. I just have knack of going faster with proper gear shifts in proper RPM. When I am in Fast mode,

1st to 2nd gear - at 20kmph

2nd to 3rd gear - at 45kmph

3rd to 4th gear - at 65-70 kmph

This not only gives you additional thump while speeding but also keep engine torque and power at same power band.

My maintainace, I generally give my bike for service in station after 10k kms, in the mean while I just replace the oil religiously every 2500kms. I add NULON engine treatment additive to my engine oil. I find it really really usefull. If you want it you should oder it by internet, Go to https://nulonindia.com . Many mechanics get surprised seeing the state of my healthy engine. So there goes one of the differentiating factors.

Fuel economy mode:

I dont like to talk about it, but even sometimes I felt the pinch of fuel and drive slowly. When I am driving for fuel economy,

1st to 2nd gear - at 10kmph

2nd to 3rd gear - at 20kmph

3rd to 4th gear - at 25-30 kmph

I am sometimes able to extract upto 85kmpl. But ya generally I am in F1 mode and I get F1 like fuel bills:P .

Bike in handling is great, make sure you have proper tyres. After 2 years, my existing tyres are showing age and are hardening, so makes cornering little riskier than before. Probably ceats or MRF's new age tyre would be better suitable if you want best of CT100 in handling.

Many might think, That CT 100 is not powerful and stuff, But I beg to differ. It depends on how you control and handle the bike. I am not aginst other models but I have many times raced pulsars, karisma in street racing. It how you churn the best of the bike. When it comes to straight line, CT 100 definetly bows out. But when in comes in CITY trafic(specially in bangalore) CT 100 rules.

CT 100 weighs about 105kgs and has 8.2odd bhp So it has good power to weight ratio than many other models.

I find that going against all other odds, CT 100 rules when its properly maintained, and taken care.

This applies to all owners: Spend 100 rs extra while serviceing by adding additives, Its worth it.
