Last week I went with my friend to Popular Bajaj showroom here in Bangalore. He went to buy a Pulsar 150 DTSi and I just accompanied him. On reaching the showroom I saw a huge stock of CT 100 bikes parked outside the showroom (I counted, Exactly 42). I thought this much stock, so the bike must not be selling much. But as I entered the showroom, I saw a poster 1,20,000 bikes sold in 3 months. I was shocked. I asked the showroom guy to give me a test drive. He then took me for the test drive of the amazing bike called '' CT 100''.

First the specifications:

Engine

Type 4 stroke

Cooling Type Air Cooled

Displacement 99.27 cc

Max Power 8.2 bhp( 6.03 kW) @ 7500 rpm

Max Torque 8.05 Nm @ 5500 rpm

Ignition Type C.D.I

Carburettor Keihin-Fie

Transmission Type 4 speed gear box

As I started the bike it had no noise or vibrattion (thanks to rubber mounted engine). Then I tested the engine for the lowest speed possible in 4 th gear. It cruised at a speed of 10 KM/H without knocking. I was impressed.

I tried to do wheelies, and it did with amazing ease (thanks to a low end torque).

I tried to drag the bike, and I reached a speed of 60 KM/H without any effort (power 8.2 BHP more than of a Victor 8.1 BHP).

The suspension was good too.

The seat, electricals and the riding experience is good.

I asked the showroom guy about the mileage, he told that though the company is telling a mileage of 101 KM/L , but customers r getting a mileage of 70 to 85 KM/L. ( To verify him I asked one of the CT 100 owners about mileage in the servicing area, and he told that he came for the first service and he was getting 69- 72 KM/L on road Bangalore).

With an on road price of Rs37,990 Bangalore I think It is a good package of Value for money
