Bajaj CT100. 7 months old. 3900 kms done.
On-road price: Rs 38500.
Mileage: 65-70kmpl. Solo, city-riding, 35-45kmph speeds.
Satisfied: Yes, very much.
Firstly, know is limits. Don't dream for both power & mileage in the same bike.(It's like marrying a film-star & expecting her to do household chores.)
One should have it clear in mind that CT100 is not a speed / power bike. Its purely for basic(minumum) transportation, at v.high mileage. Therefore, I didn't expect high pickup from this one. Its Pickup is very decent. When going uphill with pillion rider, it very much struggles.(Bangalore roads have lots of uphill stretches)
CT100 Will be very good for plains, like Chennai Coimbatore etc.
Handling also must be very soft. I ride at 35-45 kmph speeds in city, and its very comfortable. No shakes, no wobbling. Above 45, I felt strange vibrations, so don't reach those speeds.
Headlamp is very bright. Console is minimum, but ok.
I bought this because it is 8k less than Splendor. So far, I am happy about my decision.
To sum up, this bike is puerly for mileage only. With good riding habits & minimum maintenance, you can expect 65+kmpl in cities. In highways, it must be 73+.
Forget riding in ghat roads, most of the time you'll be pushing it.
CT100 production was stopped a few months back. Platina has same technical/functional specs, with just a different finish.
