Hi Guys,

I feel that I am qualified to write a review on the Boxer CT after using it for a good 5yr + term.

The bike was a present given by my dad on my 18th Birthday (March 2002). Since it was my first bike, I was crazily in love with it, as anyone would b with their first bike!!

Initially when I started using the bike, I was getting a steady mileage of around 70+ Kmpl, but after the third free service, this dropped to around 60 kmpl.

*Lesson: Never leave your bike for the last free service, this is the biggest mistake that you can do, once the dealer knows this is the final free service they normally replace the original parts in the bike with duplicate ones ( Confirmed to me by a cousin who was working with a bajaj service centre)

*Considering the traffic conditions in Bangalore, the bike was very easy to handle (after changing the handlebar to a short one), smooth changing of gears and above all superior mileage in city riding conditions make this bike stand out.

I have used this bike for long drives and except for the occasional service, I never had any major issues with the bike, I have ridden to Mysore, Hogannekal etc, with just 2 stops along the way to ensure that the bike does not overheat, during these rides I used to get around 65+ Kmpl.

Having said this, the bike is not too comfortable for long rides and the next day would have invaribaly been spent in bed with a sore back!!Looks wise this bike is not the best, neither is it too ugly, the looks are just there. All in all if you need to commute to work and back in city conditions, this would be one of the bikes to beat, the other of course being the splendor!

The other thing you need to keep in mind is that this bike will not last as long as a Hero honda bike, Bajaj does have an issue with durability.......as you would very well know! Thanks for taking the time to read this review, hope it helps anybody who wants to purchase this bike
