I've been using a Bajaj Boxer for the last 10 years. I've ridden the bike to its limits and ridden it hard.In short I am all praise for the taskmaster that the bike is. I remember my father taking us(me, my mother and my sister) 10 km for a function in the bike. The machine is simply awesome. You cant obviously compare it with any other bike because it belongs to the lowest class in terms of power and price but mind you not in performance!.

I will try to analyze the bike in terms of performance, handling, maintenance and comfort. In terms of performance I would say Boxer is a one man woman.Because a pillion rider takes its toll on the 97 cc engine as can be expected. But the machine responds readily to a single rider.Since the engine is tuned for optimum fuel consumption its better to tune it up for power if u want more out of the RACE engine.

I've taken the machine upto a 95 Kmph (speedometer has markings upto 120).Though I haven't clocked it, I am confident my bike would not be lagging behind in 0-60 drag.On the not so bright side you can't ride it too long. The throt stops responding once the engine gets overheated and for boxer the engine really gets overheated fast.I will conclude by saying that my boxer has done infinitely better than the rest of the 100 cc bikes and even some of the 125 ones.

As far as handling goes the light frame affects boxer's stability. But change the rear Tyre to one with a better grip and boxer immediately turns around.I guess it also has to do something about the Load.I weigh 70 kg so I guess this is the ideal weight for the vehicle. I've done my share of drifting and the rest of the nasty stuff, even a wheelie. The real highlight of the vehicle is that I found out that it was totally reliable on a nasty hilly track.I crossed two streams and at some places there were hardly a track. But Boxer held true to the end.

For such a cheap bike u cant expect much comfort. Its true that the bike gave me as much headaches as backaches. Its smaller than an RX 100.So comfort is minimal. I've spent only 7000 rs on maintenance to date on the bike, not counting the not very often services and petty additions like rear view mirror.clutch cable, break cable and so on.The bike survived(with me) a head on collision with a KSRTC Super Fast and to get it again on road.I spent the above mentioned 7000 rs. After 10 years, I am spending another 5000 for some engine problems. The Engine Problem is Quite specific. There was no oil in the engine and I had been driving the Machine like that for god knows how many Kilometers. It was 2 and a half years since I last changed my Engine oil.12, 000 rs as maintenance for a bike 10 years old and poorly ridden is testimonial enough.

And if that is not enough i swear never for once did the bike break my trust and got broke down on the road.
