Hi , I am Sajan from Bangalore. I got my Avenger 200 CC 2 weeks back and have done around 200 Km in Bangalore city. Following are comments on the bike.

This bike is a real eye catcher with its beafy looks and wide tyres. I can rate it at 8 out of 10.

Intially I had owned TVS victor 3 yrs back and then before going for the avenger I was riding a Honda activa for 3 yrs. I read lot of reviews on mouth shut and took a test drive before deciding to buy this bike.

One thing which attracted me most was its low height, me being 5ft 3'' in height felt very comfortable with the seating of Avenger.

Intially for 2-3 days I found bit difficulty in handling this bike since I had moved from a gear less scooter to a geared bike. But once I got used to the gear shifting that was not a problem.

The front breaks are very powerful , I almost got a shock of my life when I had to apply a sudden break , I hit the rear breaks and pulled the front break lever little hard ( as I used to do in activa) , the bike came to a sudden halt , but did handle quite well without skidding. However now I am getting used to the braking , I feel my rear break should be adjusted for a more better play . Twice I was about to skid when I took a u turn , I halted and then slowly was taking a U turn by putting both my legs down and slightly applying the front break, since the disc breaks are very powerful I was about to skid. Now I have overcome that by using only the rear breaks while doing U turns.

Handling this bike in city traffic :-  I would say for this size of a bike it is doing a nice job . It cannot be compared with the ease of a gearless scotter, but when compared to other bikes (TVS victor I had driven 3 yrs back.) I find Avenger is easier to control.

Only area where I found handling this bike bit difficult is when the road is not good ie., to avoid the evening traffic rush I used to take a short cut . This road has got some loose granite rocks on a short stretch, I found difficulty in controlling this bike at this stretch , which I did it with ease on my Activa.

Anyways I cannot use my cruiser bike on roads like this. But on normal roads this bike rocks.

Overall I love my bike , I am covering an average distance of 25KM per day , the more I am getting used to the bike my love for it is also increasing .

Minor issues :- Few times the gear slips to neutral when I shift from 1 to 2 , but I think once I get used to the gear shifting this may not be a problem. Of course as I read in few other reviews finding neutral is an art . When you completely stop your bike on signals finding neutral to leave your clutch lever is bit difficult. Any way I have overcome this. What I now do is when I come to complete halt on signals I sift to 1st gear and then swith off the engine , so its become easy to take off also (press the clutch lever and start the engine and go..)

My advice to potential buyers of Avenger :- If you were driving a normal street bike and are kind of person who would drive on pavements / footpaths when there is traffic halt in a signal, then please forget about this bike, this is for matured and sensible guys who would not like to try any stunts and would patiently wait for the green signal to come on to move.

Hope this review was useful atleast for some..
