Hey guys,
I just got myself an Avenger, believe it or not it’s awesome.
The bike has good control, the comfort level for the pillion rider is however not as
good as that of the rider. The halogen bulb illuminates the road really well.
Disc brakes are good. Fuel consumption is really good compared to any other bike
of that category. If you look at the overall package, there are a few bad points as well.
The good points
Good control.
Good response.
Very bright head light.
Head light can be adjusted vertically as well as horizontally.
Steardy bike, strong body.
Thick rear wheel for better grip.
Real good looks.
Elegant side stand.
Low saddle height, which made the bike have a better centre of gravity
making it easier to handle such a heavy bike. (285 KG + your weight)
Disc breaks are smooth, doesn’t jerk when applied in an emergency.
I have mentioned about rare shock absorbers under BAD PIONTS,well
actually The Avenger is meant for good roads like highways and proper city
roads. If you ride it in bumpy unpitched roads, then its gonna be a night mare
for the pillion rider.
The bad points
Turning radius is small making it difficult to handle it in traffic.
No fuel indicator
No RPM indicator.
The ignition key is under the fuel tank and the handle lock is on the other side.
Finishing touches could have been better. ( Rare view morrors do not have smooth edges)
Rare view mirrors are not that flexible.
The rare shock absorbers could have been better.
They could have attached a better sounding horn.
No space provided to keep copies of documents in the bike.
Not exactly a bad point, because alteration of the rare mudguard will spoil
the looks, but the mudguard is short and the registration plate gets dirty
when you ride on wet roads.
Recommendations
Heat up the engine when starting for the first time in the day.(one minute idling)
First start should be a kick start.
Self start should be used with the head light turned off.
Try to ride at constant speeds to improve on mileage.
I felt that 60kmph is the ideal speed for the most comfortable ride,
for the rider as well as his GIRL who sits at the back.
This bike is gonna get the attention of all the people on the road.
Believe it or not, people stop next to me at traffic signals and ask about the
bike.(price, mileage etc etc..)
No back ache after 200 KMS straight.
Want a goodlooking bike with good performance?
Go for it and FEEL LIKE GOD!!!
Please wear a helmet, its for your own safety
Don't think whether you will suit the bike or not,
just carry yourself well, and the bike will suit you.
