Hello all Avenger aspirants here. I wish to write few pros/cons of Avenger from my experience.

I have my Avenger-200 for last 8 months. I've mixed experience which I would like to share which might be helpful for your decision whether to get an Avenger or not.

Pros: Awesome look!, good power, dashing light(even a maruti800 car will feel shame before it), good road-grip for safe driving in rainy season where roads are not-so-good, like Pune.

Cons:Bajaj Auto has not enough expertise to build a cruiser so far. They have taken(or rather inspired by) the look of a Yamaha japan model & Kawasaki and dumped their Pulsar 200 CC engine to build this cruiser kind of thing which is the only available cruiser in India at this point of time. But the most annoying thing is there's nobody to listen to your problem. Bajaj should have a customer care division to help us better.

Gear Box:really bad when you wish to go for neutral and hard while riding in heavy traffic.

mileage: it's continuously going down from to 38 to 23 in these 8 months even after 3 servicing.

Service: Extremely bad* here in Pune, Kothrud service center. NEVER trust what the service engineers say. They damaged my tank and somehow repaired it saying that it's a new tank. I had to run to them for 3 months for this tank getting done. I requested them for tuning it to give better mileage, but they never do it. Once they have theft my belongings from my dickey while I gave for servicing.

Other Parts:

The *handle lock *is badly placed on the right side and it broke my key while turning the handle once. They say it can't be repaired and half of my key is still inside the key hole.

The ignition key is at the bottom of the fuel tank and I could never insert the key in the first try. You have to bent down to your knees to put it in.

Don't purchage the* wheel lock*, it is very difficult to get it locked because the wheel is small and I use a screw driver for take it out of the wheel.

Fuel Meter *sheldom shows the fuel level when it reaches the reserved capacity. Bajaj needs to research it more, because this is a new adition to Avenger 200.

Please don't feel that I'm discouraging you, but I'm warning that you be cautious and don't just go on the look. It might deceives you and bias your buying decission.
