Avenger 220-Superior than god. Review on Bajaj Avenger 220

Rs. 85207-? a bike? what is so spl abt it? dont waste ur hard earned money! ur an idiot"-said my father when I proposed this bike to him!

It's has been 5 months since I purchased this bike, now I can say why this bike cost 85207.i will also add up its worth it dad! 435 kms in 14 hrs. I did that ride just yesterday(04-02-2012).

The ride all began with my father advising and quoting accidents which are happening on road. my grandparents saying me in a bike that long? u may take any car! Don't go in a bike! As usuall I showed a think skin! my best friends father did some prayers and said be careful

Myself, and my 3 other best friends started our first ever long ride in bike. 2 bikes=4 ppl. Me riding my bajaj avenger 220 and my friend ridding a pulsar 180 we started towards pichavaram via pondichery. It was 6 in the morning, we were enjoying the cool breeze and chit chatting with each other and ridding around 70-80 kms. Had a tea in a small tea shop near Mutukaddu boat house. our location search then began to take photos of our beautiful bikes! We then understood any location which were our bike halts, that location become beautiful and we do not require any spl locations as such.

At last after 3 hrs of slow and steady drive we reached pondichery by 9.00 am. Had some breakfast in a hotel(dint taste good), and topped up our tanks and proceed towards chidambaram. After the worst roads and unhealthy traffic, we reached Pichavaram.

Bike was as smooth as a butter, as solid as rock, and as powerful as a lion on all those worst roads. Then imagine how it would be in a good road. This bike is a rock star ppl

Pichavaram is amazing guys. surely u all should go to that place. 3000 acres of forest and boating inside that forest was like wow. where am i? is this heaven?

Thanks to boat man RAJA, who showed as many places as possible explained about the forest and gave a very good company to all of us. He boat driving skills were amazing. We again reached back Pondichery and went to Ashram, beautiful place really. We started back to Chennai and now the time was 5.30 pm. we had been on our bikes the whole day, except for 2 hrs, and my back never felt a thing( this is why avenger is the best)

The most difficult part began- Returning home.

Morning we all were fully charged up and ready for anything. even though I dint have any pain on my back, I was tired driving. I dint want to go back home, all the way driving nearly 200 kms. but no other way. I need to do that.

The real acid test began

after loosing all the enthu, we started back home. We started to maintain an 80 kms, believe me guys, driving at night is a worst thing in this world. All useless drivers on their high beams, and over speeding, I hated it to the core. thanks to bajaj for giving a very bright headlamp in Avenger. it helped me to manage a lot.

Atlast we reached the same tea shop where we had tea morning, time was 7.30! Had hot tea and started back again to home. Reached home by 8.15 pm, with no back pain and no shoulder pain!

Thanks to the front suspension which did the trick.

Over all,

This bike is a worth purchase with no cons in it.

I was an Atheist. now I believe in GOD! my god is my avenger 220, and my religion is biking!
