My Black Bird. Review on Bajaj Avenger 220

Initially I was going for Pulsar 150....., but thanks to my girlfriend who insisted me for Avenger. She liked the back rest, so we headed for Avenger.

After reading lots of reviews around the internet, I finally brought by Avenger 220 DTSi Black.

Let me tell you, its a great bike. Most important thing is, I am driving this bike for 100 Kms daily and getting mileage of 40-43 Kmpl before first servicing.

Its only 4 days now and I had already crossed 400 Kms. Its a smooth bike. Initially the break light was malfunctioning, so I went to showroom, they guy corrected it. Now my avenger is fine.

One thing: I have noticed a different kind of smell from the engine, but I hope it is totally normal about the new bike.

Go for it...............

Extending the review---------------

Now I have enough experience to describe this bike.

Looks: Look wise, no other bike can hold the hand of Avenger. Chrome fininsh is eye catching. The techno panel on petrol tank is good but is annoying when you drive in afternoon, it reflect sunlight on your eyes.

Handling:

1. I am driving this bike in pune traffic for daily commute to office. The road is badly crowded with traffic jams. But If you can drive any other bike in traffic, you will drive this one also.

   
   




2. Avenger is very stable due to its massive weight(160 kg). Even in heavy wind, it wont feel like deflecting.

   
   

Mileage:

1. You cant get better than 40 kmpl on 220cc bike. And I am getting 45 kmpl in city rides.

   
   




2. I drive it at 50-60 kmph.

   
   




3. tyre pressure (21 psi each).

   
   

Comfort:

1. Comfortable in city. Didnt face any difficulty now. Initially, I was facing back pain for first 2-3 days. but now as I am used to this sitting position, no probs at all.

   
   




2. while going on long journey, it is adviced to wear trousers or cotton pants. Dont wear jeans, they will pain in ur butts.

   
   




3. On bad roads, shocks dont come to that much help.

   
   

Extra Points:

1. As it is an bajaj bike, you must expect some issues. But they are minor one.

   
   




2. My bike was not starting one day, when I checked, the carborator to engine pipe was misplaced automatically. It was loosely connected, so I tightened it.(very simple).
