Got my dream bike after 2 years of wait and after being tired of staring at it on roads. I am sure many must be curious to know how the bike stands up to your expectations. Let me tell you when I bought my bike on 31st Dec 2010, I had already raised the standards very very high and its obvious when you get something after so much thought and feedback you want value for your money and patience.

For buyers I would not recommend just anybody to go for this bike. I am not trying to say its the best bike in the world, what I mean is buy this bike only if you really want to and only if you really love a cruiser. I prefer cruisers over sports bike and AVENGER is the best and only option in India at this price. If you want an ultimate low saddle comfort ride then this is the deal. Its very comfortable both in city rides as well on highways.

Riding Comfort n Handling:

The punch line "FEEL LIKE GOD" is very well suited to the bike.

For those who think that this bike is heavy and not suitable for city rides, I would like to add that its low saddle seating is the reason for its being the most comfortable Indian bike. trust me I own a passion too and I find avenger easier to handle even on busy roads. The reason is its low seating enables your feet to be completely on ground even for those who are short height-ed. People with lesser height would know what I mean. People say its bulky and tough to ride on city, oh common you don't have to lift the bike, its the technique not the power.

I rode it from Mumbai to Pune in 3 hrs covering 160 kms, touched the top speed of 110, but the bike is best driven at 70-80 if you really want to feel the cruise and enjoy your drive but even at 110 its at great balance, you wont feel as if the bike cant handle that speed. At 21 bhp its well equipped to handle that. Pickup is not as good as a sports bike and that's reasonable because its a cruiser not a racer, still if you want to race then let the biker get ahead at  starting , later you can easily catch him :)

The bike is royal and you get used to people staring at it and then you feel proud to own one. Only people with a taste for class should go for it to do justice to the bike and yourself.

Price:

I got it for Rs. 79, 404/- in Pune on road. Rates differ a lot depending on the state govt. tax.

Mileage:

Well it depends on the way you drive and maintain your bike. I usually get an avg. of 32-35 kpl in city and 35-37 kpl on highways. Drive at 60-70 kph on highways and you can even get 40kpl.

Pros:

  1. Powerful front brakes.

  2. Ultimate value for your money.

  3. Comfortable seating ( feels as if you are on your couch and driving).

  4. Parking light switch, which is rare for bikes.

  5. Fine metal finish provides distinct steel look to the bike.

Cons:

  1. Rear brakes are not good.

  2. Ignition switch and lock are at opposite sides. Finding the ignition switch is a task and is hidden

below the fuel tank, worse when you are in a hurry to start the bike.

Above all its a great bike to own, for all those who really want one I would say just go for it and you are bound to love it....cheers :)
