I purchased Bajaj Avenger 220 DTS-i on 06-Oct-2013 and have driven it 1500 Km by today. It has given me 50+ Km. per litre of mileage in realistic conditions. I commute daily from Kolkata to Hoogly covering 75 Kms of distance.
But yes, I try to follow the following standards of driving.I try to maintain uniform speed between 50-55 Km/hr. I never drive beyond 60 Km/hr speed.
I never shoot the speed of the bike while I initiate. Normally I speed up the bike while chaning the gears as per standards of 2nd gear at 20 Km./hr. speed, 3rd gear at 30 Km./hr. speed, 4th grear at 40 Km./hr. speed and 5th gear at 50 km./hr. and above speed
I strongly follow the aforementioned gear changing at appropriate speed level.
Currently I am riding single and there is no pillon rider with me.
