Very nice bike with a genuine review post using the vehicle for more than 2 years. First of all I was very skeptical about buying this motorcycle. I took a test ride of it as well and but nothing was clicking at that time because I was not a user and fan of cruiser bikes, but since I bought this I am happy with my decision.
A bit about bike in short…… Bajaj Avenger 220 Oil Cooled, Engine Displacement 219.9CC, Single Cylinder, with maximum power output of 18.8 Bhp at 8400 revolutions per minute and maximum torque of 17.5 newton metre at 7500 revolutions per minute. It has a ground clearance of 169mm with kerb weight of 148kg. Will discuss the pros and cons of this motorcycle in detail below:-
Pros:-
Comfort- Believe me, this is one of the most comfortable bikes available in the market. With the low seat height of 725mm the sitting position is fine enough for either a person who is below average height or above same.
Road Grip- With MRF tyres, the road grips is superior enough to manage on almost all the climate especially in rainy season. I hardly met with any sliding on road.
Reliability- With regular servicing and maintenance I've not found any problem. Since last 2 years since I bought the vehicle, almost 30000km driven smoothly.
Appeal- As said, it is the most affordable yet trendy cruiser bikes available in the country. Avenger offers loads of accessories for the riders to make their everyday driving even more comfortable. The huge windshield and backrest make the bike look more appealing. The option of loading saddle bags is also available on the Avenger. Cons:-
Lack Of Kick Start- Due to lack of kick start, the battery in the motorcycle happen to get weak and die early, I stuck once when my bike had to lie idle for 3 days and due to weak battery the bike couldn't start and I was advised to change battery by the mechanic.
Poor Mileage- Initially the mileage was good and bike use to deliver somewhere around 42kmpl but the same reduced drastically to 30kmpl making it an expensive one in terms of fuel consumption on daily run.
On an overall experience I am pretty satisfied with the bike and I'll recommend to all working professional who works in middle management and want a comfortable journey from too and fro office to home.
