I have a black Swift and took Babaj Allianz insurance for it. I had a unfortunate bad day and hit by a car in bad Bangalore traffic. I didn't ague with the other car guy as everyone were in really really very bad traffic and it was pouring heavily. Day 1 submitted all the documents required to Maruthi dealer. Dealer was in touch with me and kept me informed about happening.


The Babaj Allianz surveyor finally landed at their garage after two days. Initially he said he will give insurance only for one dent then after asking for reasons and he said he needs to talk to his manager. Then next day he asked for FIR, again after debating for a day, agrees to process without it. I heard usually FIR is required only if the claim amount is huge, my claim was around Rs 8000(Had two dents on each door ).


I thought everything is done from my side, but after a couple of days Maruthi dealer called me and informed that my claim is still not approved and requested me to talk to surveyor. After talking to surveyor he informed me that he didn't receive documents from the office who actually inspected my car when took the insurance. Then I went to branch and asked them what is the problem, they informed they have already sent it. Again checked with surveyor, he said he is outside will check and get back.


Few weeks passed way with all this drama, but still my documents didn't reach. Finally I decided I will elevate myself to managers role of Allianz and asked the surveyor to be in his office then I went to another office and requested them to send my documents again. This time it reached interestingly.


Finally after more than two weeks my claim got processed. Wondering how to rate this company.
