Biggest Fraud in Telemarketing. Review on Bagittoday

BagItToday is the biggest fraud on the Web. I have two ugly experiences with them:

(1) I had ordered a Swiss watch for Rs 2000, which they claimed was worth more than Rs 4500. They also offered a free Benetton watch with it. I was really happy get them on time, but alas my happiness did not last long. The free watch was out of order in a month, and could not be repaired. The other one looked pretty old from the beginning, and that also stopped working after a couple of months.

(2) When they were operating under the name India Today Book Club, I had bought a set of books worth Rs 2400 from them. The names of the books were not disclosed but they advertised it as a set of best sellers. What was more tempting was they offered a 2N/3D hliday package worth Rs 7000 free with it. I got tempted and went for it. I got the books on time, only to find that they were old decaying books that no one would read. I got the holiday voucher number, and it said I needed to register myself using the voucher number on their site. I tried but the site said my voucher number was incorrect. I reported the error to them via phone and mail. They promised to resolve it promptly, but did nothing. After several follow ups over months they finally claimed that they had resolved the issue. The site remained down for several days after that. By that time the validity period for the voucher had already expired. I tried again when their site was up again, but it still did not work. Further complaints were squarely ignored. Later I heard from a few friends that these people excel at cheating customers. Some of my friends have also been cheated by them.

After the above two experiences, I hang up the call as soon as one of their marketing guys calls me to offer new products. I would suggest all of you do the same.
