Story:

King out does himself in this lengthy full novel.  The novel starts off fast but a true King fan knows that he takes his time in description and information so that the reader feels connected to the character and actually care about what happens to them.

The story begins with acclaimed writer Mike Noonan suffering from writer's block and still grieving for his wife's unexpected death which happened four years before. He finds out that before his wife died she was planning to visit their summer home alone, so he goes there in hopes of closure-- and an end to his writer's block.

Sara Laughs, his summer home in western Maine, which btw is on the Shores of Dark Score lake doesn't immediately cures his writer's block. Yet he does meet a single mother and her "special" little girl, both of whom is in the middle of nasty custody battle with her father father in law.

He begins to realize that he is not alone in his summer home and somehow everything is connected in a most horrific manner.

This is a story that analyzes love, relationships, the human heart, good, evil , fear , and strength. I'ts a love story. A scary story. But most importantly... it's a Good Story!

Expect nothing less from the King!
