In the past one month approx, my experience has been above average with Bachpan, RMV Extension 2nd stage, Bangalore 560094. I had admitted my 2.5 years old daughter in Nursery section directly(I considered age of 2 years too early for education). Facilitator advised me to keep her in Nursery section - no point in keeping her in PlayGroup as she would be elder to all students.
Fees are competitive, significantly lower than Euro Kids in same locality, another good play group in this area. Euro Kids offers lots of free space and open air as it has rented two adjacent location(Ground+1) when compared to Ground+2 floor for Bachpan. Considering the locality, higher fees are justifiable for Euro Kids. Bachpan is more confined including entrance area. Bachpan takes due care of escorting children across staircase(observed).
I required bus service. I had major concerns about bus service and its ownership(no private transport run by individual drivers). Administration confirmed they own their transport service. Payment cheque for transport was to same person as for education fees. They said to let us know anytime if you feel/see that driver is driving fast considering small children age. They would take action.
Initially they said to drop child at school on first day and bus service would take them back. On day I went to collect uniform and books, they said I have to pick-up and drop that for one week. I was surprised and angry, having to adjust my office schedule for one week. But it was from their experience. New kids take approximately one week to settle down. My child cried for first three days and was happy from fourth day. Fifth day she was not ready to leave school!
Management handled hassled parents odd questions and queries with patience during these initial days.
I can see the progress in my child education in last forty days. This feedback is concerning only these forty days. It may change.
Minor advise: They send syllabus for whole month. In same they can publish any meeting date with parents instead of sending a note in diary few days earlier. Missed a meeting day as we were not that vigilant to check diary
