Stay away from this movie!!!. Review on Bachke Rehna Re Baba

What happens when two hot babes-a senior one who was the sexiest heroine in 70-80s and the other one who is currently the hottest babe around,appear together on the screen in a sex comedy?People have high expectations and viewers definitely expect to see an entertaining chick flick,but oh,did we forget that who is at the director`s seat.The film`s director is none other than Govind Menon,the same director who gave us “masterpieces” and unforgettable movies (?) such as ”Khwahish” and ”Kis Kiski Kismat”.The director is back again with a bang and maybe now he has realized that how terrible his films are,that is why this time his latest film`s title actually warns you,that is-”Bachke Rehna Re Baba”.I never understood why this film was given such a title but after watching this film,I`ve realized that the title of the film is very suitable and very true.You should all be safe and protected against this film,because I`m sure that if someone will go into the cinema hall,to watch this movie,he will not come out alive.

Sahara One Motion Pictures. ”Bachke Rehna Re Baba”,directed by Govind Menon,stars Rekha,Mallika Sherawat,Karan Khanna (introducing),Paresh Rawal and Satish Shah.This film has an interesting star cast,because it has got Rekha and Mallika Sherawat teamed up fior the first time.At her times,Rekha was known as a sexy babe and these days Mallika Sherawat`s name is one everyone`s lips because of her bold acts and because of her sex appeal but little did we know that actually their teaming up for a film would be as bad as this one.This film promised to make you laugh and you actually laugh but not because of the situations and the scenes in the film but at the director`s/scriptwriter`s stupidity,its actors` stupidity and on the helplessness of the viewers who go through a real torture while watching this movie.

The film tells us the story about two ladies who betray rich men to get money out of their pockets.It tells us the story of a ”mausi-bhaanji” jodi (aunt-niece pair),who are always in search of a rich man whom they can seduce and then betray for money,in the end.The aunt is Rukmini (Rekha) and her beloved daughter-like,niece is Padmini (Mallika Sherawat).The film starts with Rukmini`s marriage with a rich man called Monty Singh (Paresh Rawal).At her wedding night,when Monty is dying to make love with Rukmini,Rukmini acts as if she is drunk and feeling very sleepy.That`s the way how Rukmini avoids making love with Monty,as she knows that she will not spend her whole life with Monty and that she will cheat him and then leave him.That night,poor Monty is very depressed as his newly wed wife is unable to have sex with him.To seek some pleasure he goes to a dance club where he finds Padmini.Padmini is Rukmini`s partner who has been trained by Rukmini to flirt with the men with whom she gets married because in this way,she will get an excuse to fine the man and get a huge amount of money which she can share with Padmini.Monty also falls in this trap.That night,just as Motny and Padmini are about to make love,as per Padmini`s and Rukmini`s plans,Rukmini appears there and heavily fines Monnty.Monty ends up paying Rukmini Rs.50 lac.As both the aunt and the niece become very wealthy,they decide to go to Mauritus to find an NRI,who can be able to pay them more than the men at their very own India.Their,they find Mansukhani (Satish Shah) a very wealthy and idiotic kind of a person.Rukmini turns her name into Alka and acts as a lady from Paris,infront of Mansukhani.She flirts with him and seduces him and keeps on getting more and more money from Mansukhani.In the meantime,Padmini actually falls in love with a young restaurant owner,Raghu (Karan Khanna).Rukmini isn`t happy to find this thing out as it is a rule of their game,that no one is allowed to fall in love.Padmini has to accomplish the “Mission Mansukhani”,so she goes to Mansukhani`s mansion as a maid,when Rukmini succeeds to turn out Mansukhani`s ex-maid,Shahsikala,who knows Rukmini`s clever plans.Padmini goes to Mansukhani`s house as Rambha and even she seduces Mansukhani.One night,Mansukhani goes to Rukmini`s hotel room and buys the statute of a naked guy (I wonder what was that for?) for her.That night,Mansukhani feels very h-o-r-n-y but Rukmini doesn`t want to make love to him,so she makes him sleep.After sometime,when she tries to wake up Mansukhani,she finds him dead.Now,problem arises for this aunt-niece pair.They have to hide Mansukhani`s dead body and unfortunately,Monty Singh who now renames himself as Devdas Singh arrives at Mauritius and finds out Rukmini`s and Padmini`s truth.Now,he wants his money back from Rukmini otherwise he will report Mansukhani`s death news to the police station.Now,how will Rukmini and Padmini return Monty his money back?How will they get to know about Mansukhani`s death?And will Padmini ever be able to get married to her one and only love,Raghu?

Rekha overacts,throughout the film and looks very irritating.Such roles don`t suit her at all.At this age,playing the character of a seductress is very derogatory for her.Her age is such that people can respect her because of her seniority and not view her as a babe.Already she did an item number in last week`s release ”Parineeta”.Initially,it was difficult for me to digest this fact that Rekha is doing an item number but as the song and her dance was so good,I accepted that but in this week`s release watching her doing such nasty things,is a bit too much and unacceptable for the viewers.First of all,I`m shocked to see Rekha in such a role and secondly,I feel very sorry for the director and the people behind this film.The makers of this film are the most unfortunate people in Bollywood as they failed to explore the talent inside the actress of Rekha`s caliber and instead they focused on Rekha`s sex appeal,which was completely missing.Rekha was trying to act sexy,but sorry to say,she was not looking sexy at all.Although,I agree that she looks very glamorous and gorgeous in this film but sexy-not at all!

Mallika Sherawat has no role to speak of.Just when the makers of this film felt that there should be some skin-show they placed Mallika`s scenes there.Seriosuly,Mallika has very few scenes in this film and in the scenes where she is actually there,you get to see her skin more than her acting talents.I personally feel,that the actress acts well.She was the only saving grace in the awful film ”Khwahish” and her acting in ”Murder” was also pretty good but in this film,she hams throughout.This film shows that film-makers are using her skin show to earn money and are not concentrating on bringing her acting talents infront of the world.Mallika should take care that she must not be exploited so badly.

Paresh Rawal is way too loud and not funny at all.Although,he is one of the best comedy actor in Bollywood,this time he fails miserably,thanks to the poor script and poor direction.The actor should do more meaningful roles.
