I saw this movie last weekend when one of the movie channel decided to show this one. I started to watch this movie thinking it as another romantic movie. But what the hell was that? Is this a romantic movie? Is this even a movie?
Let's start with the casting of this movie.
Siddharth Malhotra as Jai Varma/Kapoor. Though he is a decent actor, couldnt give much to this movie. I dont completely blame him for that.
Katrina Kaif as Diya Kapoor/Varma. Well, she acted as expected from her. That means expressionless
Sarika as Jai's Mother. Not much role for her.
Ram Kapoor as Diya's Father Less but irritating role for him.
Rajit Kapur as Panditji
Coming to Story Line.
Though I watched this movie on weekend, I am still wondering what was the story. In minutes, times are changing and Jai is either many years ahead of current time or few years ahead of current time. I am still not sure, why this much of drama to prove a simple point. I dont want to play a spoilsport and tell the whole story. But this could be executed well. To brief about the story,
From the age of 8, Jai and Diya are together and are best friends. As and when they grow up, Diya becomes painter(Or something of that sort) and Jai becomes a Mathematician. One fine day, Diya had a exhibition. Jai reached late because he was busy clearing doubts of the class in a college he is teaching at. While having Dinner and said Sorry many times to Diya, he simply in a casual manner said that they are like we;ll settled old couples. This strikes Diya and she proposed Jai for Marriage. This created a storm in Jai's mind as he wanted to concentrate on his career. What happens next, please watch the movie(Well, contact me personally to know what happens next instead of bearing this torture).
Title of this movie is Baar baar dekho. This title literally means Watch it again and again. Now I understand why they kept this title. Because you wont understand this movie when you watch this for the first time. But this movie is sooo much torture, that, I dont know about others, at least I am not in a position to watch this movie again.
